At EverHealth, our Billing Consultants serve as trusted advisors to healthcare practices by helping customers optimize their billing operations, improve revenue cycle performance, and maximize the value of our software solutions. This customer-facing role combines healthcare billing expertise, consulting, training, and relationship management to help practices streamline workflows, increase reimbursement, and achieve stronger financial outcomes.

The ideal candidate is passionate about healthcare revenue cycle management, enjoys solving complex billing challenges, and excels at educating customers through a consultative approach. As a Billing Consultant, you will partner closely with customers to assess current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, provide best-practice recommendations, and deliver training that drives long-term success.

Responsibilities:                                                                                                               

  • Deliver virtual training sessions, webinars, and one-on-one consulting engagements for customers and practice staff.

  • Educate customers on healthcare billing workflows, revenue cycle best practices, and effective use of EverHealth software.

  • Assess customer processes and recommend workflow improvements to increase efficiency and reimbursement

  • Provide guidance on claims submission, payment posting, denial management, insurance follow-up, patient collections, and accounts receivable management.

  • Assist customers with identifying billing issues, troubleshooting workflow challenges, and optimizing billing performance.

  • Review customer reporting and provide recommendations to improve financial outcomes and operational efficiency.

  • Serve as the primary billing point of contact during implementation and consulting engagements.

  • Manage assigned projects and customer engagements to ensure milestones, timelines, and objectives are met.

  • Build trusted relationships with customers through proactive communication and consultative support.

  • Document customer interactions, recommendations, and project progress within internal systems.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare billing, medical billing, revenue cycle management, or practice management.

  • Working knowledge of:

    • Claims submission and claim lifecycle management

    • Payment posting

    • Insurance follow-up and denial management

    • Accounts receivable processes

    • Patient collections and balance resolution

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with healthcare software applications and Microsoft Office Suite.

Where: Remote, US

The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams across multiple regions. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require occasional travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations within the United States.

Compensation

The target base compensation for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 USD per year in most U.S. locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
