Expedites equipment and service purchases by creating requisitions and purchase orders, tracking assets from order through field delivery, resolving vendor and operations issues, verifying receipt, and maintaining accurate purchasing and financial records. The role coordinates with engineering, project management, purchasing, operations, fixed assets, and vendors while preparing expenditure approvals and management reports.
Expeditor will ensure a high level of responsive support for revenue. Generating activities; provide the best value to the Company through timely addressing demand with supply; resolve vendor and operations issues; create and issue Purchase Orders for services and materials and expediting placed POs as per business needs.
Responsibilities- Interface with Engineering, Project Management, Purchasing, Area Operations, Houston Operations and Fixed Assets Department as required
- Create AFE’s (Approval for Expenditures) for the corporate budget
- Create purchasing requisitions to order equipment
- Coordinate asset identification; includes acquisition of asset numbers
- Review PO’s for Engineering to ensure new assets are captured in Nabors asset system
- Track equipment from order placement to shipment to field
- Verify the physical receipt of equipment and process in the Nabors purchasing module to allow for accurate financial accountability
- Interface with vendors to ensure equipment arrives when needed
Other Responsibilities:
- Ability to perform routine tasks associated with the position with minimal supervision
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks associated with the position
- Ability to meet deadlines within expected time frames
- Ability to complete tasks associated with this position within project time frame requirements
- Ability to research, compile, analyze and prepare reports suitable for presentation to Senior Management
- Adhere to Company policies and work requirements
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by Supervisor
- Conduct an annual review of the position definition with the Supervisor and update as required
Qualifications
Preferred Experience:
- Three years hands on experience in Supply Chain type position
- Knowledge of oilfield equipment a plus.
- Education and Training:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- Ability to utilize software programs such as Microsoft Office
