Overview
We are looking for an Expert Quality Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role you will work in an Agile, highly collaborative, cross-functional environment in which we strive to build Quality into every step of the SDLC.
Responsibilities
- Develop automated tests for RESTful web services with JSON requests/responses using a C#-based test framework
- Collaborate cross-functionally to iteratively improve frameworks, methodologies, and processes for Quality Management, test planning, test execution, and quality reporting.
- Participate directly in Agile product development, including requirements analysis, requirements-based test planning, and test development
- Perform exploratory manual, functional, and regression testing with root cause analysis on defects and producing, clear, concise bug reports
- Work with other engineers and customer-facing support teams to identify, log, root-cause, triage, prioritize, and drive resolution of defects
- Mentor other members of the team through collaboration and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred, equivalent experience accepted
- Highly proficient in a high-level programming language (C# preferred): Java, Objective-C, C#, C/C++, Python.
- Strong SQL proficiency
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- 7+ years relevant work experience; 2-3 years at the Senior level or equivalent experience (Preferred)
- ISTQB, CSTE (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 8+ years of experience in software testing (feature analysis/test planning/ test case authoring, black box/grey box test execution, defect reporting)
- 5+ years of test automation experience for a web or mobile-based product.
- 3+ years in an Agile development environment.
- Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins
- Experience working with JavaScript/UI automation tools (preferred)
- Experience in health IT (preferred)
- Experience with performance and load testing (preferred)
