Supervise food and beverage outlet operations, ensuring punctuality, guest satisfaction, hygiene, sanitation, inventory control, cashiering compliance, and service readiness. Job Description- Ensure punctuality; report to the F&B office 5 minutes prior to duties and sign on the attendance; collect any necessary information for the day. And also should return to the office and sign on the sheet at the end of every shift. Any changes to the duty time will be made by the approval of the F&B Manager.
- Ensure you are always punctual and should be an example for the subordinates.
- Attend all guests promptly; meet. Greet, and seat the guest.
- Check linen stock, issue it to waiters and exchange new linen for soiled ones.
- Ensure the storage and temperature of all beverages in the bar/displays.
- Check the daily house count arrivals and departures, special events and VIP movements when the shift begins.
- Ensure the hygiene standards of the premises set by the F&B department.
- Ensure welcome drinks and face towels are served to the new arrivals on time. (Only apply to Coffee Shop).
- Maintain personnel hygiene, grooming and supervise the application of safe and hygienic work-practices of all staff.
- Direct and follow-up the activities of all service personnel and assist as necessary to ensure a smooth workflow and proper guest service.
- Maintain a high sense of self-respect and abide by a code of conduct to develop the attitudes and skills of the subordinates.
- Train staff to execute all the tasks/services as per to the S.O.Ps of Sun Island.
- Give on-going feedback to all service personnel to improve service standards.
- Communicate with the superior concerning all the aspects of the operation.
- Assist in staff induction and motivate them to promote F&B sales.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and regularly check with guest on the quality of service provided.
- Ensure the outlet is ready to open 15 minutes prior to the posted opening time.
- Supervise and check the preparation and maintenance of all workstations, work area and back of the house areas to ensure hygiene and sanitation.
- Maintain inventory and adequate stock of necessary commodities at the outlets.
- Identify deficiencies of the operation and have counter measure taken to estimate these.
- Ensure all special event & theme dinners are ready 15 minutes prior to the posted opening time.
- Under take any other tasks assigned by F&B Manager/ department in-charge.
- Loyalty towards job and management.
- Ensures that all the outlet cashiering procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Knowledge in using Micros / POS system
- Experience in the hotel industry of at least 2 to 3 years
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
