In this role the Facilities Operation Assistant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our UL Solutions Raleigh/Durham location. This position supports the Facilities Manager and broader operations team by coordinating daily administrative tasks, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-organized workplace environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
This is an onsite position in our Durham/Raleigh office.
What we offer:
In this role the Facilities Operation Assistant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our UL Solutions Raleigh/Durham location. This position supports the Facilities Manager and broader operations team by coordinating daily administrative tasks, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-organized workplace environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule events, event setups and caterers.
- Manage vendor relationships as well as scheduling the completion of vendor contracted work.
- Assist with invoicing
- Create and maintain purchase orders
- Manage security access rights, request new security badges, issue temporary badges,
- Maintain inventory of break room and office supplies.
- Receive work orders and facilitate through proper channels and team members.Ensure daily collection of USPS mail and communicate with appropriate personnel.
- Provide general administrative and operational support as directed by leadership or requested by team members
- May be required to operate a company vehicle for business-related tasks.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Higher Secondary Education plus generally two or more years of related administrative assistant experience.
- Excellent Communication skills
- Ability to manage a large workload
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to use various PC-based software packages for basic word processing, graphics and spreadsheets.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20lb assisted ad unassisted.
This is an onsite position in our Durham/Raleigh office.
