Join our Operations team as a Lead Auditor, responsible for conducting accurate and efficient monthly merchandise audits in our stores. Starting pay for this position is $18.00 per hour. Reporting to the Audit Supervisor and Manager, you will lead small crews, ensure data integrity from count to system entry, and communicate results effectively. This role requires regular travel to various store locations.

Valid driver's license and good driving record required for regular travel to stores within approximately a 2-hour radius. A company vehicle will be provided for business travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audit crews (up to 3 members) during store visits.
  • Perform precise merchandise counts using specialized equipment.
  • Verify the accuracy of counts performed by Audit Assistants.
  • Accurately record audit figures on forms and enter data into store-level accounting systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate store audits.
  • Communicate proactively with Audit Supervisors, Managers, and Store Analysts regarding audit findings and processes.
  • Investigate audit discrepancies when required.
  • Take ownership of the entire audit process at the store level.
     

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required for regular travel to stores within approximately a 2-hour radius. A company vehicle will be provided for business travel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a high degree of ownership.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Preferred: 2 years of Retail Management or Auditing experience.
  • Preferred: Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability for rare overnight travel, distinct from regular daily travel.
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, bend, work near the ground, and climb ladders for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift/move merchandise over 50 lbs periodically for accurate counting.
  • Comfortable working in various temperature environments (coolers, freezers, outdoors).
  • Proficient with computers, handheld scanners, and telephone communication.
