🌍 We’re making security suck less for developers.

Security tools haven’t kept up with how software is built today. They interrupt teams, slow releases, and turn security into a bottleneck instead of a capability. We built Aikido to change that. Aikido builds developer-first security products that reduce real risk without getting in the way of shipping software. We focus on what actually matters and automate the rest.

We’re taking on legacy security tools teams have been stuck with, and we’re winning. If you want to help us take market share and build products developers actually enjoy using, you’re in the right place.

Founded in 2022 by third-time founders, Aikido has $85M in the bank, a long runway ahead, and unicorn status. We’re building toward self-securing software. Join an all-star team. Take real ownership. Push boundaries. Build things that matter.

We’re looking for a hands-on Field Marketing Manager to help build Aikido’s presence across the developer and security communities.

This role is focused on driving pipeline and awareness through events, community engagement, and regional campaigns. You’ll work closely with sales, partnerships, and marketing to plan and execute programs that connect Aikido with developers, security leaders, and startup teams.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys owning events end-to-end, building relationships in the local tech ecosystem, and turning community engagement into real pipeline.

Responsibilities

Own Regional Events & Programs

  • Plan and run field marketing events including meetups, dinners, roundtables, and developer-focused gatherings

  • Manage Aikido’s presence at industry conferences and security events (e.g., Black Hat, RSA, DevOps events)

  • Coordinate logistics, speakers, content, and follow-up with the sales team

Drive Pipeline Through Events

  • Work closely with the sales team to create events that generate qualified pipeline

  • Support account-based marketing campaigns in key territories

  • Track event performance and ensure strong follow-up and conversion

Build Community in the Developer Ecosystem

  • Partner with developer communities, startup hubs, and security meetups

  • Identify opportunities to get Aikido in front of developers and security teams

  • Support developer advocates and partners at community events

Partner with Sales and Partnerships

  • Collaborate with Account Executives and partnerships teams to identify target accounts and opportunities

  • Support partner-led events and joint campaigns with ecosystem partners

  • Help create experiences that move prospects through the pipeline

Help Grow Aikido’s Brand

  • Bring Aikido’s “no-BS security” voice to events and community programs

  • Work with the marketing team to turn events into content, social engagement, and brand moments

  • Share feedback from the field to help shape messaging and campaigns

  • 4–7 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or community marketing

  • Experience supporting B2B SaaS, developer tools, or cybersecurity products

  • Comfortable running events from concept to execution

  • Strong collaboration with sales teams and pipeline-driven marketing programs

  • Experience managing conferences, meetups, and regional marketing programs

  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience in developer tooling, DevOps, or cybersecurity

  • Existing relationships in the Bay Area startup or developer community

  • Experience running events for technical audiences

What you can expect
  • High-impact position in a fast-growing company

  • Fast growth of responsibility

  • A company that sticks to its values in an open and informal atmosphere (see our culture page on the website for more details)

  • Flexibility in working hours

  • You will be recruited based on competencies. Qualities of people are decisive, regardless of gender, religion, ethnic origin, age, sexual orientation, or any disability.
