Job Description:

Finance and Accounting Consulting Senior Manager

Crowe is seeking a Finance and Accounting Consulting Senior Manager to join our Client Accounting Services (CAS) practice within our Studio group. This role is responsible for leading outsourced finance and accounting engagements for clients across a variety of industries, serving as a trusted advisor to improve accounting operations, financial processes, and overall business performance.

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of operational accounting leadership, strategic advisory capabilities, and business development experience. This individual will oversee the delivery of high-quality client service, provide actionable financial and operational guidance, and help drive growth of the practice through new and expanded client relationships.

This is a hybrid position with 2–3 days in the office each week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead outsourced finance and accounting engagements for multiple clients, including oversight of day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, AP/AR, payroll coordination, cash management, and financial reporting
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients by identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, reporting capabilities, financial operations, and overall business efficiency
  • Provide accounting and finance advisory services related to operational best practices, process optimization, organizational scalability, and financial management
  • Review financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger activity to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards
  • Develop and implement standardized accounting processes, workflows, and reporting procedures across client engagements
  • Present financial results, key performance indicators, and operational insights to client leadership teams
  • Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted business partner to executives and stakeholders
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members while fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
  • Manage engagement economics, staffing, timelines, and quality of service delivery across multiple client engagements
  • Collaborate with internal tax, audit, and advisory teams to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Support practice growth initiatives through business development activities, including identifying new service opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, participating in networking activities, and contributing to proposal and sales efforts
  • Leverage and develop professional networks to cultivate prospective client relationships and drive new business opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with Crowe’s risk management, independence, and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • CPA license preferred; alternative credentials such as CMA, Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Master’s degree in Accounting or related field, combined with significant relevant experience, will also be considered
  • 8+ years of experience in client accounting services, outsourced accounting, public accounting, or related finance and accounting advisory services
  • Demonstrated experience managing outsourced accounting or finance operations for multiple clients
  • Strong accounting advisory and financial operations experience, including process improvement and operational optimization initiatives
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders
  • Demonstrated business development experience, including identifying, pursuing, and expanding client opportunities
  • Existing professional network and relationship-building experience preferred
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including U.S. GAAP; IFRS knowledge preferred
  • Experience with accounting and ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and project management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-service environment
  • Travel up to 30% as needed

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,000.00 - $284,300.00 per year.
