Finance Manager – JLLWhat this job involves:

As Finance Manager at JLL, you'll take ownership of property-level accounting and financial reporting for a dynamic real estate portfolio. Working alongside property and asset management teams, you'll lead day-to-day accounting operations while supervising a talented team responsible for property accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and lease administration. We believe the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive, and in this role, you'll do exactly that—guiding your team to maintain flawless financial records, implement robust systems and procedures, and ensure seamless audit readiness. You'll serve as a strategic financial partner, analyzing performance data, supporting budget processes, and providing insights that drive informed decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple facets of commercial real estate finance, from monthly closings and variance analysis to supporting asset transactions during due diligence. What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Administer and maintain comprehensive property financial records, including books of original entry, supporting schedules, and ledgers to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Establish and uphold property-level accounting policies and procedures that support operational excellence and audit readiness
  • Collaborate with property management and asset management departments to deliver timely, accurate financial information and analysis
  • Oversee monthly closing processes for all properties, analyzing operating results against budget and identifying key variances
  • Lead annual budget preparation by training team members and providing relevant financial data to support strategic planning
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, providing recommendations for procedural improvements and ensuring smooth audit execution
  • Support Asset Managers during property acquisitions and dispositions by managing financial due diligence activities
  • Develop and mentor your accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Prepare internal management reports by collecting and analyzing property financial data to inform decision-making
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proven experience in property or real estate accounting, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple properties or business operations
  • Strong technical proficiency in accounting software and financial systems
  • Solid understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis within a real estate or property management context
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively
  • Experience supervising and developing finance or accounting staff
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or progress toward CPA certification
  • Experience with commercial real estate financial audits and working with external auditors
  • Familiarity with lease administration and tenant audit processes
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with property management accounting platforms
  • Track record of implementing process improvements or new financial systems
  • Experience supporting asset acquisitions and dispositions through the due diligence process

Estimated compensation for this position:

93,500.00 – 121,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
