We are seeking a FINANCE MANAGER who will report to the Director, Portfolio Finance and be responsible for developing and validating complex Excel-based models, conducting in-depth financial analysis of our assets, and ensuring the integrity of our financial projects and investment analyses.  You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to guide our investment, dispositions, and financing decisions. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Validate, enhance, and renew Excel based financial models for commercial real estate property investments.
  • Conduct thorough and comprehensive analysis of model inputs, formulas, and assumptions to identify errors or inconsistencies.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of cash flow models, sensitivity analysis and asset valuations.
  • Collaborate with analysts, asset managers and other stakeholders to understand deal structures and investment strategies, ensuring model accuracy and reporting aligns with financial plan.
  • Develop and implement best practices for model validation, including standardized processes, controls, and documentation.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and models for internal stakeholders, investors, and lenders.  Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting processes.
  • Provide recommendations for improving model efficiency, accuracy, and usability.
  • Support the evaluation of the Company’s real estate investments, including evaluating key decisions such as dispositions and financing. Assess risks and opportunities associated with each investment.
  • Synthesize and convey crucial financial information to senior management through structured reports, enabling the Company to understand key performance metrics in order to make strategic decisions.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related degree is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on commercial real estate.
  • Strong experience in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Knowledge of real estate investment principles, including cap rates, IRR, and NPV.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate financial concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
  • CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Possess skills, abilities and traits that align with the company’s Key Principles.

The approximate annual salary range for this role is $100,000 to $155,000. The compensation will be commensurate with the skill level and experience of the candidate, and the role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
