The Role

As a Financial Analyst, you will perform these essential functions: 

  • Monthly / Long-term forecasting, budgeting, and modeling
  • Reporting and analyzing Operational Metrics
  • Executive / Ad Hoc Reporting
  • Perform financial analysis and variance analyses by identifying key drivers
  • Help expose trends in the data that indicate strengthening or weakening performance
  • Develop financial tools, analyses, and metrics in support of business strategies
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and analytical support as needed
  • Ability to conceptualize and develop summary charts and tables enabling the consumption of larger amounts of data 

Required Skills and Professional Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, or other related quantitative discipline is required
  • CPA, CFA or work towards these credentials is preferred but not required
  • Master in Business Administration preferred
  • 3-5 years of related business experience including public accounting, consulting, or finance
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience crafting, interpreting, and presenting financial projections and models
  • Experience with financial (OneStream, TM1, Hyperion, etc) and data (Qlik, Tableau) analysis tools
  • Possesses significant experience and proficiency with relational database models and writing SQL queries;
  • Possesses experience with data visualization tools (e.g. QlikView, Tableau, Power BI);
  • Possesses experience with planning systems such as One Stream, Hyperion, IBM, etc;
  • Possesses a general / basic understanding of key financial statements and accounting principles (e.g. accounting or finance formal education and/or related experience);
  • Demonstrates the ability to think critically about problems at hand and apply analytics strategy to solve problems and/or identify relevant observations for reporting;
  • Demonstrates the ability to clearly document work performed and observations identified;
  • Possesses experience using analytics tools and/or programming languages to derive insights and to effectively communicate those business insights to key stakeholders;
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems;
  • Demonstrates a knack for learning new technologies, innovating creative solutions, and pushing the boundaries on how we use technology to solve complex problems;
  • Demonstrates a curiosity to dive headfirst into business needs, ask probing questions to unpack and explore a problem space, and collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions to those problems; and,
  • Possesses ability to navigate multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, cross-functional, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.

  • Reviews self work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance;
  • Uses feedback and reflection to develop self awareness, personal strengths and address development areas;
  • Possesses experience in a collaborative teaming environment working on analytics engagements while managing stakeholder and leadership expectations, preferably in a consulting or business analyst role; and,
  • Demonstrates the ability to navigate and lead multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, cross-functional, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment;
  • Possess experience leading analytic teams to solve complex business problems;
  • Demonstrates the ability to own self work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance
