Build and run demand generation programs to create a predictable sales pipeline: launch outbound sequences, manage paid digital ads, run integrated campaigns, optimize marketing automation and CRM, align closely with sales, and report on funnel KPIs to improve conversion and pipeline velocity.
About Basalt Healthcare Basalt is transforming the post-acute admissions process. Every day, facilities lose hours of critical clinical time manually reviewing complex, hundred-page faxed referral packets. Basalt’s AI instantly reads these documents, checks them against a facility’s specific admission criteria, and surfaces clinical and payer risks tied directly to the source text. By reducing manual intake review from hours to minutes, we enable post-acute facilities to make faster, more accurate admission decisions, fill beds efficiently, and streamline prior authorizations.
The Role As our first full-time marketing hire, you will be the engine behind Basalt’s revenue growth. You will own the strategy, execution, and optimization of all demand generation efforts to build a scalable and predictable sales pipeline. Working in lockstep with our Founding Account Executive and company leadership, you will build our outbound engine from scratch while deploying targeted digital advertising to establish brand awareness in the healthcare technology market.
The ideal candidate is a proactive "doer" who thrives in a startup environment. You are just as comfortable writing high-converting outbound email cadences as you are analyzing digital ad performance and optimizing our marketing automation tech stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Pipeline Generation: Build, execute, and continuously A/B test multi-channel outbound sequences (email, LinkedIn, phone) targeting clinical, operational, and IT leaders at post-acute facilities and health systems.
- Digital Advertising & Brand Awareness: Manage and optimize paid media campaigns (e.g., LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, content syndication) to drive targeted brand awareness and capture high-intent leads within our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Design and deploy end-to-end integrated marketing campaigns (webinars, content downloads, event promotions) to attract and nurture prospects through the funnel.
- Marketing Operations & Tech Stack: Own and optimize the marketing automation and CRM infrastructure (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce). Implement lead scoring, routing, and tracking mechanisms to ensure a seamless handoff to sales.
- Sales Alignment: Partner closely with the sales team to ensure campaigns are aligned with revenue goals. Provide sales with the necessary messaging, collateral, and account intelligence to maximize conversion rates.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track, measure, and report on all demand generation KPIs (e.g., MQLs, SQLs, Cost Per Acquisition, Pipeline Velocity). Use data to identify bottlenecks and optimize campaign performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- B2B SaaS Marketing Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in demand generation, growth marketing, or marketing operations, preferably within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Healthcare Industry Knowledge: Experience marketing to healthcare providers, post-acute facilities, or health systems is strongly preferred. Understanding of healthcare buyer personas (e.g., CMIOs, VP of Clinical Ops, Intake Directors) is a major plus.
- Tactical Execution: Proven ability to build and run successful outbound cadences and paid digital advertising campaigns.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Analytical Mindset: Highly data-driven with a track record of using analytics to inform decision-making, optimize campaigns, and prove ROI.
- Startup Mentality: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, early-stage environment. You are a self-starter who can take ownership of projects from ideation to execution with minimal supervision.
- Variable/Bonus: $10,000 – $25,000 (Often tied to pipeline generation targets, such as the number of Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) or total pipeline dollar value created).
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $100,000 – $150,000
