Own Gradient Labs’ global B2B events program, selecting event opportunities, creating memorable dinners, workshops, meetups, and conferences, and measuring pipeline impact. Build relationships with customers, partners, speakers, and senior buyers; write targeted outreach; improve CRM reporting in HubSpot; and bring customer insights back to product and operations teams. This first dedicated events hire will manage execution in a fast-paced, early-stage environment and support international events.

At Gradient Labs, we’re building the AI customer operations platform for financial services.

Founded in 2023, we now work with some of the biggest names in banking and fintech. Our platform runs specialist agents, purpose built for financial services, to eliminate manual work across customer support and back-office operations. Together, they give product and operations teams the visibility and control to trust every outcome.

We’re a team of builders from companies like Monzo, Wise, Revolut and Google. If you’re excited to tackle some of the hardest problems in AI and help shape the future of customer operations, we’d love to hear from you.

🎯 How you’ll make an impact

You’d be our first dedicated events hire, reporting to Emma, our Head of Marketing, in a marketing team of just four, so your impact will be felt from day one.

For this role, you’ll be owning our global events programme and shape it as we continue to scale. You’ll decide where we go, what we host and how we measure success.

You’ll know you’re making an impact because of these three things:

  • 💥 Our events generate pipeline. You bring Gradient Labs into our target markets so that our technology is seen, known and adopted.
  • 👂 We understand our customers’ needs better, to continuously improve our product. You spend time with the people we’re helping, learn what matters to them fast, and bring it back to the team.
  • 🌎 We hold events that are memorable and valuable. People leave having learned something, and our founders and team have a stage to share their ideas. Our Gradient Collabs events with customers and our partner events with Legora, Sinch and Deepgram have gone really well, and we want you to take them to the next level.

💡 What you’ll bring

  • You have B2B events experience and know how crucial this workstream is for pipeline generation
  • You get energy from executing at an early stage (Series A to C). You don’t wait to be asked, you’d rather fix a problem than flag it, and you automate what you can so the next one is easier
  • You’ve designed events like dinners, workshops or meetups that guests found genuinely valuable. Organising a larger B2B conference is a nice to have, but what we really care about is that you can bring lots of moving parts together
  • You understand how important accurate reporting is in a CRM like HubSpot, so you know what’s working and what’s not
  • Strong discovery skills. You ask great questions, listen well and spot patterns, so you can learn our customers and buyers fast. You don’t need to know financial services or AI agents yet, but you’re curious about both
  • You write invitations and outreach that get senior operators to say yes, and you adjust your tone for buyers, partners, speakers and colleagues
  • You’re organised and ruthless about priorities, calm when things go wrong at an event, persistent, and you have a strong point of view on what makes an event memorable

We care more about who you are and how you think than your years of experience.

Why join Gradient Labs now?

This is a unique chance to be part of a team working with cutting edge technology to reshape how businesses will operate in the future. Over the next 10 years, every company will need to embrace AI-powered operations to stay competitive, and this role puts you right in the middle of that transformation.

You’ll tackle challenging and new problems, work with some of the most exciting brands across different industries, and be surrounded by a passionate, smart team that’s driven to build something groundbreaking.

Benefits & Logistics 🧡

  • Salary is based on 75th percentile of the market given our stage and in return you’ll receive early stage equity. Your base salary will depend on where you are based and your experience level.
    Guidance below:
    • US: between $100K - $145K
    • UK: between £58K - £76K
  • Flexible, remote-first working. We work remotely by default, meet in London weekly and are building out a NYC office. We’d prefer you to be in NYC or London so you can be in person with the team more often.
  • We work in GMT and EST/EDT time zones. US events experience is ideal but not a requirement.
  • International travel for events that need someone on the ground, but not every event.
  • 25 days paid time off, plus 20 optional unpaid holiday days, on top of federal holidays (US) and bank holidays (UK)
  • Premium healthcare
    • US: comprehensive medical cover, preventative care covered 100%, 24/7 virtual care, mental health support, dental and vision included
    • UK: private medical cover including hospital treatment, cancer care, specialist consultations and physiotherapy, plus 24/7 virtual GP access and dental/optical cashback
  • Pension/401k: employer contributions in line with local requirements
  • Global company and team offsites. Our most recent was in Lisbon.

The Interview Process 📝

  • 30 mins intro call with Beth
  • 45 mins conversation with Emma, our Head of Marketing, about how you work and what you’ve done
  • A live working session with Emma and Elizabeth, where we work through a real events problem together - up to 2 hours
  • 30 mins with Dimitri, our CEO
