This is a fully remote role within the United States.

We are seeking a voraciously curious, systems-minded Founding Product Manager to build our Employer product vertical from the ground up. This is a founding product role: you will define the strategy, ship the first products, and lay the foundation for a durable new line of business serving self-insured employers and the brokers and advisors who guide them. You will be the connective tissue across Turquoise's employer subject-matter experts—holding the product line while pulling their domain knowledge into a coherent, sequenced plan. This role requires deep, first-hand expertise in the direct-to-employer and ecosystem in your own right—its dynamics, incentives, and nuances.

Qualified candidates bring a rare mix of 0→1 product ownership in a complex industry, deep fluency in how employers purchase and manage healthcare solutions, an intense focus on customers and eagerness to engage with them, and the inventiveness to build something where nothing existed before. If you are a systems-thinker who thrives in ambiguity and is passionate about solving complex problems that drive economic change, we invite you to join our dynamic team.

Why this Role Matters

Turquoise has built the most comprehensive picture of negotiated rates and contract data in US healthcare. Employers—and the advisors who serve them—sit at the paying end of that system: they foot the bill for care but have the least visibility into what they're actually buying. Giving them that visibility, and the tools to act on it through steerage, care navigation, and direct contracting, is core to our mission to eliminate financial complexity and rebuild trust in US healthcare. This role owns that expansion end to end—what you build becomes the backbone of an entirely new business unit at Turquoise.

What You'll Do
  • Own the 0→1: define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Employer vertical, from first customer conversations through first shipped products and early revenue.

  • Be the connective tissue across Turquoise's employer subject-matter experts, translating deep employer and broker knowledge into a concrete product plan—supported by dedicated solutions engineering and flexible engineering resourcing.

  • Develop and defend your own point of view on employer ecosystem dynamics—plan design, self-insurance, incentives, steerage, care navigation, and direct contracting—and use it to make sharp prioritization calls.

  • Relentlessly drive early-stage concepts through iteration, execution, and enhancement, validating with real employer and broker customers and making the calls that move the vertical forward under uncertainty.

  • Turn Turquoise's pricing and contract data assets into products that solve concrete employer and broker problems.

  • Facilitate airtight coordination across disciplines within Turquoise—Engineering, Design, GTM, and Solutions—and across key external stakeholders including benefits leaders, brokers, consultants, and TPAs.

  • Be the customer's voice: build direct relationships with employer benefits teams and their advisors and bring their reality back into the roadmap.

  • Continuously hone industry and subject matter expertise, staying ahead of market trends and regulatory developments (e.g., CAA transparency and fiduciary obligations) so Turquoise anticipates the tailwinds and headwinds in the employer space.

What You'll Bring
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning products end to end.

  • 5+ years building for the direct-to-employer and/or broker market—you understand the ecosystem from the inside.

  • A deep understanding of employer ecosystem dynamics, incentives, and nuances—plan design, self-insurance, steerage, brokers/consultants, and TPAs.

  • Demonstrated ability to ship high-complexity, 0→1 solutions in a fast-paced startup environment with rapidly changing priorities.

  • Subject-matter credibility in your own right—enough that you can serve as the connective tissue for other employer SMEs.

  • A clear track record of growth and increasing scope—impact and staying power, not just tenure.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, being resourceful with flexible engineering support, and iterating in response to internal and market feedback.

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience/knowledge. We are happy to work with strong candidates with non-traditional educational backgrounds.

Bonus Points
  • Experience building care navigation and/or direct contracting solutions.

  • Proficiency with claims and eligibility data.

Benefits
  • Competitive pay with equity options

  • Stellar health care plan options (Medical, Dental & Vision), with FSA, DCFSA, & HSA options

  • Company-sponsored disability & life insurance

  • Flexible PTO

  • 401(k) + 4% Matching

  • Fully remote work + flexible working hours

  • $750 work-from-home setup budget

  • Paid bi-annual all-company in-person Summits

  • Quarterly $150 co-hanging stipend to meet up with coworkers

  • Monthly $100 health and wellness benefit

  • Generous paid family leave

  • Annual $1,200 learning & development stipend
