Hang is building the future of loyalty for brands.

Hang is the next generation brand loyalty & membership platform. By harnessing the power of personalization, gamification, and its integrations ecosystem, Hang provides brands with a radically new type of loyalty experience for their customers.

Today, they work with a variety of major brands (such as Ulta Beauty, Budweiser, Flipkart, and more), as well as multiple well-known, up-and-coming restaurant chains (Boba Guys, Roam Artisan Burger, and Williamsburg Pizza, among several others).

Hang draws from years of deep expertise in loyalty, game design, and finance with employees from leading companies like Google, Amazon, Apple, Meta, LinkedIn, Coinbase, Square, and Goldman Sachs.

Hang raised a $16 million Series A led by Paradigm last summer, with participation from Tiger Global, Howard Schultz, Kevin Durant, Mr. Beast, and the founders of Warby Parker, Allbirds, and Bombas, among others.

About the Role

Our engineering team is currently a small, tight-knit and highly productive group. As an early member of the engineering team, you’ll be directly involved in making and executing technical decisions, as well as interfacing with our product team to understand business needs better.  We all currently work across the stack to build out new features, and optimize our current solution to offer the best possible experience to our users.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test desktop and mobile web software applications or systems.

  • Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications.

  • Implement features and user interfaces to optimize performance of user-facing products.

  • Interface with new and existing customers and company stakeholders to understand business needs and identify potential technical solutions.

  • Collaborate with other engineers by engaging in agile best practices like peer code reviews and documentation.

  • Create the build specs and PRD for projects.

  • Lead a project from PRD to deployment, with a team of both backend and front end engineers, ensuring code quality, testing, and confirming code in production.

Who You Are
  • 5+ years of experience

  • 3+ years specifically owning a React/NextJS project (typescript is a plus)

  • Has experience with scaling front end state/cache and can deal with loading a large amount of data into the product.

  • Takes the initiative to make overall code quality updates to the codebase

  • Experience owning the UI of a large product/feature from start to finish. Think “Integrate with a 3rd party provider to create a full online ordering flow within our app”.

  • Very strong communication and understanding of how the front end relates to backend data and API calls.

  • Works at a fast pace and understands how to decrease scope at a project level (trim down excessive UI)

What Would Set You Apart
  • You have a passion for consumer brands.

  • You enjoy keeping up with NextJS updates, new features and solving tricky NextJS issues!

  • You have a strong interest in loyalty programs.

  • Experience deploying and hosting a project on Vercel

Benefits
  • Top-tier health, vision, and dental insurance, including plans with $0 employee cost.

  • Unlimited PTO / sick leave

  • Competitive salary & equity compensation.

  • Quarterly company offsites
