Design, implement, and support Pivotal GemFire databases. Responsibilities include GemFire architecture, load balancing, plugin integration, querying/indexing (OQL), performance tuning, and use of utilities (gfc, JMX, CLI). Work with RDBMS/NoSQL/Hadoop, XML/HTTP/SOAP, and at least one of Python, Perl, Java, or C++.

- Gemfire Administrator: As a Gemfire Administrator you will be responsible for assisting with
- the design, implementation, and on-going support of Pivotal Gemfire database
- Experience with and understanding of various database technologies: RDBMS, NoSQL,
- Hadoop and Gemfire.
- Expert in Gemfire architecture, design, development
- Experience with Gemfire load balancing policies
- Experience with Gemfire plugin interfaces
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies and concepts is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of network and distributed internet technologies including TCP/IP,
- firewalls, load balancers and web application architectures is a plus.
- Expert experience with at least one if not most of the following languages; python, perl,
- java, or C++.
- Experience with XML,HTTP/SOAP and HTTP-direct
- Experience with gfc,JMX, command line utility,VSD
- Expert in Object query language
- Expert in querying and indexing
- Experience in performance tuning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 7 years of experience within the Information Technologies.
