About Schneider Geospatial

Schneider Geospatial is a GovTech software company helping local governments serve their communities through solutions spanning parcel management, permitting and licensing, and asset management. Our team partners with public agencies to improve transparency, efficiency, and service delivery.

The Opportunity

The Geographic Account Executive owns commercial growth across an assigned territory, including winning new local-government customers, expanding relationships and solutions within existing accounts, and proactively identifying commercial retention risks. This is a market-owner role: you will build a territory strategy, create demand, lead complex sales cycles, and mobilize Schneider colleagues to deliver customer value. Success is measured by sustainable ARR growth, not simply activity or inherited pipeline.

This role offers the autonomy to operate as the commercial leader of an established geographic market, combining a meaningful installed customer base with substantial opportunity for new customer acquisition. You'll have the ability to shape your territory strategy, develop lasting customer relationships, and directly influence Schneider Geospatial's growth.

What You Will Do

Own the market and build a growth plan
  • Develop and execute an annual territory strategy grounded in local-government market dynamics, installed-base penetration, whitespace, competitive footprint, and priority segments.
  • Prioritize geographic markets, agencies, buyer personas, and solution plays; maintain an actionable account and prospect plan.
  • Create and win new business
  • Generate qualified opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals, conferences, partner relationships, marketing programs, and compelling customer use cases.
  • Lead discovery, quantify business problems, identify replacement triggers, build consensus across stakeholders, and manage the full opportunity through negotiation and close.
  • Position Schneider solutions against incumbent processes and competing platforms, partnering with product and solution specialists as appropriate.
  • Grow and protect the installed base
  • Build relationships with current customers across departments and leadership levels to identify cross-sell, expansion, and reference opportunities.
  • Stay aware of customer health, renewal and competitive risks; coordinate with Support, Professional Services, and other owners to address issues while retaining commercial accountability.
  • Lead commercial discussions for assigned accounts, including expansion, contract transitions, and renewal-related opportunities in accordance with company policy.
  • Execute with discipline and collaboration
  • Maintain accurate account, activity, opportunity, next-step, and forecast information in Salesforce and sales engagement tools.
  • Manage pipeline creation, qualified coverage, opportunity progression, and ARR bookings against established performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Operations, product specialists, Support, and Professional Services; coordinate proposals, pricing, approvals, and contracting.

What We Are Looking For

  • Demonstrated success in consultative B2B or B2G software sales, including prospecting, competitive selling, negotiation, and closing.
  • Ability to manage both net-new acquisition and strategic expansion of existing customers without losing focus on pipeline creation.
  • Strong territory planning, account prioritization, business acumen, and disciplined CRM/forecast management.
  • Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes; experience selling to county or municipal government is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of local-government workflows, GIS, parcel management, permitting, or asset management is a plus.
  • Excellent discovery, presentation, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Comfort with regular travel (typically 25%-30%) throughout the assigned territory and attendance at industry events.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; 3–5+ years of relevant sales experience preferred.

How Success Will Be Evaluated

ARR bookings and territory growth; qualified pipeline creation and coverage; new-logo acquisition; existing-customer expansion; opportunity progression and forecast quality; and proactive management of commercial retention risks. Specific quotas, metrics, and account assignments are established separately.

Role Boundaries

The Geographic Account Executive owns the commercial strategy and customer relationship within the assigned geography, working alongside specialist sales roles when appropriate. Technical support, implementation delivery, and day-to-day service case resolution remain with their respective functional teams.
