Purpose:

The Global Marketing Brand Lead, NSCLC is a Senior Leader in the Global Strategic Brand Marketing Team, building and executing the most competitive insight driven global brand strategy in partnership with cross functional partners and the co-creation affiliates. This position leads brand strategy primarily within NSCLC including Life Cycle Management and stakeholder engagement plan in order to ensure the most competitive launch and maximize brand value over time. Other responsibilities beyond NSCLC may be relevant according to the needs of the brand at various times.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Under the leadership of the GSBL, manage the cross functional co-creation process with prioritized countries, leading to the creation of the most competitive insight-based strategies, including development of global messages, positioning, core campaigns and LCM including LoE strategy.
  • Uncover actionable patient journey, scientific and competitive insights, provide input and direction to market research.
  • Translate scientific & market insights and competitive findings into business recommendations that deliver the most competitive launch and future success for the brand.
  • Contribute as appropriate to cross-functional Asset Maximization Team (AMT) and Global Co-creation Team (GCT) to optimize strategies, create and drive the product launch and life cycle management and monitor performance.
  • Ensure launches are optimized following the Astellas launch excellence approach.
  • Prepare internal and external stakeholder communication and engagement strategy including input and support of collaborative KEE activities cross-functionally and with affiliates.
  • Participate in translation of global brand strategy into tactics and develop regional/ affiliate level resources to ensure the strategy is executed with excellence, ensuring robust engagement with all relevant partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to Astellas policies relating to Ethics and Compliance standards and interactions with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Healthcare Organizations (HCOs) and Patient Organizations (POs).
  • Other such duties as may be reasonably required by the business.

Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

  • Graduate or equivalent professional qualification and/or proven expertise.
  • Pharma sector experience with strong customer focus; in multi-disciplinary, matrix and cross-cultural settings.
  • Strong sales and marketing experience in an affiliate.
  • TA experience essential, specific tumor experience strongly preferred.
  • Above country experience essential.
  • Proven ability and experience to effectively lead an international commercial group in a complex global environment for a multinational pharmaceutical company.
  • Track-record of leading planning process with excellent organisational and collaboration skills.
  • Proven compliance expertise; to understand and comply with industry laws and relevant regulations.
  • Coaching and collaboration skills to interact with all levels of personnel to achieve shared goals.
  • Demonstrable examples of ability to develop, coach and enable high performance teams and proactively promote best practice and knowledge sharing.
  • Proven ability to influence, (appropriately) challenge and engage diverse senior stakeholders.
  • Fluent in written and verbal business English.

 

Location and Working Environment:

This position is based in Northbrook, Illinois.  Remote work from anywhere in the US is available.

Salary Range: $197,400 – 282,000  (Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, and organizational equity considerations).
