About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Marketing Director to lead a team responsible for developing and executing growth marketing strategies focusing on our key Checking products. This work is highly visible and is a key priority of the Consumer Banking and Lending (CBL) business unit. This role will drive strategic alignment across the organization to ensure the development of compelling customer value propositions, differentiated positioning, competitive offers, customer-centric experiences, and integrated marketing tactics that accelerate customer acquisition, deepen engagement, and drive profitable growth.
This leader will play a critical role in shaping how Wells Fargo wins with consumers by translating enterprise and line-of-business priorities into actionable marketing strategies that resonate with customers and deliver measurable business results. Working across product, analytics, digital, channel, risk, legal, compliance, and creative teams, this individual will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, influencing product and offer strategies, and ensuring marketing investments are aligned to areas of greatest customer and business impact.
Success in this role requires a highly strategic, influential, and customer-obsessed leader who can effectively guide a team of marketers while also driving alignment across senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of business acumen, marketing expertise, and executive presence, with a proven ability to develop integrated marketing strategies, inspire creative excellence, and deliver experiences that strengthen customer preference, drive consideration, and convert consumers into long-term Wells Fargo relationships.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead a team of program managers, strategists, channel, and optimization experts to acquire new customers via digital channels
  • Review analytical results daily to deliver business results and customer-obsessed experiences
  • Build new, enhanced marketing strategies and capabilities across on-us and paid channels to increase our share of wallet across our existing customer portfolio
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development to a team of Growth Marketing program managers, strategists, channel, and optimization experts
  • Provide ongoing performance updates to CBL CMO and other C-suite level executives
  • Collaborate with various partners, stakeholders, and senior leaders including within other LOBs and key functional areas (branch, segment strategy, etc.)
  • Identify new business opportunities, including digital capabilities to increase scale and profitability across our acquisition strategies
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Marketing

Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms, or Social Media experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
  • Experience leading marketing strategy within consumer banking, lending, payments, or another highly regulated industry, including ownership of growth-related business outcomes
  • Demonstrated success developing and optimizing end-to-end customer acquisition and engagement strategies across digital and traditional channels

Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

They will possess exceptional communication skills, strong business and customer acumen, and a reputation for integrity, sound judgment, and delivering results in complex, matrixed environments.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$185,000.00 - $300,000.00
