As a GTM Engineer, you'll design scalable systems for sales, marketing, and customer success, enhance GTM processes with AI, and improve workflows with a focus on commercial impact.
At ActiveCampaign, we’re building the future of AI-powered go-to-market. As part of our newly launched AI Transformation Hub, we’re looking for a GTM Engineer—a strategic builder who approaches revenue generation like a product designer.
As our next GTM Engineer, you won't just be connecting tools; you'll be at the forefront of designing scalable systems that improve how our sales, marketing, and customer success teams operate. You’ll be a strategic builder who maps customer journeys, understands the human side of GTM, and builds AI-enhanced workflows that drive real outcomes. This isn't just about building; it's about shaping the future and seeing your contributions directly impact our company's trajectory. If you’re energized by ambiguity, obsessed with tinkering, and passionate about making GTM smarter, this is your role.
On a typical day, you might:
- Diagram complex GTM processes and identify opportunities for AI-powered improvement.
- Build internal tools and workflows using platforms like Clay, n8n, Zapier, and Lovable.
- Collaborate directly with sales teams to understand pain points and design solutions that actually help close deals.
- Integrate APIs and data sources to streamline lead routing, scoring, and outreach timing.
- Run experiments to validate GTM hypotheses and improve conversion workflows.
- Embed AI into GTM systems using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and custom LLM prompts.
- Communicate clearly with Sales, Marketing, and executives to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Document systems and share learnings to scale GTM engineering across the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in GTM, RevOps, growth, or technical operations roles.
- A strong bias toward commercial impact—your work should directly help someone close a deal.
- Technical fluency and curiosity: you love tinkering with tools and learning by doing.
- Familiarity with platforms like Clay, n8n, Zapier, Lovable, Bolt, TypeScript, Python, or SQL (or a willingness to learn).
- Exposure to sales workflows—you understand why timing matters and where automation can help or hurt.
- A hacker mentality: you ask “how do I make this work?” and find creative paths forward.
- Comfort with ambiguity—you thrive in messy problem spaces and bring structure to chaos.
- An experimental mindset: you test, iterate, and improve systems based on feedback.
- Excellent communication skills—you can translate technical ideas for non-technical stakeholders.
- An active interest in AI—you’re already using tools like ChatGPT or Claude and are excited to push them further.
