Head of Growth – Anglophone Africa


We are looking for a Head of Growth to own and scale growth across Anglophone African corridors (including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and other priority markets) while also driving expansion across Europe, the US, Canada, and the UK, targeting the English-speaking African diaspora.

This role carries end-to-end growth ownership — spanning acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and revenue — with direct accountability for volume, revenue, unit economics, and market expansion. You will report to the Head of Africa and work closely with Product, Partnerships, Treasury, Compliance, and Operations to deliver sustainable, scalable growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesGrowth Strategy & Market Expansion
  • Define and execute the regional growth strategy across Anglophone Africa and diaspora sender markets (Europe, US, Canada, UK)

  • Develop and implement market entry and penetration strategies for new and existing corridors

  • Own growth targets, including user acquisition, volume, revenue, and contribution margin

Acquisition, Retention & Monetization
  • Drive user acquisition through paid marketing, referrals, influencers, partnerships, and community-led initiatives

  • Own lifecycle strategy across activation, engagement, retention, and win-back

  • Increase transaction frequency, ARPU, and LTV through data-driven experimentation

  • Partner with Product to optimize onboarding, conversion, limits, and user experience

Operations & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Oversee day-to-day execution to ensure initiatives are delivered efficiently and aligned with LemFi’s mission

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across Growth, Ops, Product, CRM, and Partnerships

  • Manage and strengthen key partner relationships to support reliability, scale, and commercial performance

Performance, Analytics & Optimization
  • Track and analyze key metrics (CAC, LTV, retention, volume, revenue, funnel conversion)

  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and user behavior to inform strategy

  • Continuously optimize growth levers and resource allocation for maximum impact

Team Leadership & Culture
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, innovative Growth team

  • Set clear goals, expectations, and performance standards

  • Foster a culture of ownership, speed, and data-driven decision-making

What We’re Looking ForExperience
  • 8+ years of experience in Growth, Marketing, or Commercial leadership roles

  • Proven track record scaling fintech, payments, remittances, or consumer financial products

  • Strong experience across Anglophone African markets and diaspora-led growth

  • Experience owning regional or multi-market growth with clear performance accountability

  • Deep understanding of growth funnels, CRM, paid media, partnerships, and community growth

  • Comfortable owning targets, budgets, and execution

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
