The Role
WorldQuant is seeking a Head of Reference Data to lead our firmwide reference data and SecMaster products. This is a critical leadership position responsible for driving innovation, scalability, and excellence in our reference data solutions.


What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable reference data and SecMaster solutions that align with business requirements and strategic goals.
  • Architectural Oversight: Collaborate with and lead our engineering team to define and implement a robust platform architecture that supports the firm’s growth and scalability objectives.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Lead all business initiatives and provide global support to internal customers for all reference data offerings, ensuring exceptional service and alignment with their needs.
  • Agile Processes: Drive and participate in Agile frameworks, continuously improving and expanding platform capabilities to adapt to dynamic business requirements.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong focus on reference data and SecMaster solutions.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to act as a business and technical thought leader, sharing best practices and driving innovation.
  • Project Ownership: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Mentorship: A track record of mentoring and collaborating with engineers to foster growth and excellence.

Problem-Solving Skills: A rapid learner with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating complex challenges effectively.

Pay Transparency:

WorldQuant is a total compensation organization where you will be eligible for a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and benefits.

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state.  We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on job function and level, benchmarked against similar stage organizations.  When finalizing an offer, we will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is $150,000 – $250,000 USD.
