The Associate HR Business Partner will provide support to and partner with the Customer Support Services and Operations teams. Under the direction of the HR Manager, this role will be responsible for full-cycle talent acquisition, talent and performance management, coaching and employee relations, as well as compensation, benefits, and payroll support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with business leaders in the Customer Support Services and Operations teams to maximize human capital value to achieve Life Fitness business objectives.
Cultivate strong relationships with business leaders and develops a deep knowledge of the business and HR’s role within it.
Coach managers to set aligned and high-quality targets for individuals to drive the business to achieve consistent levels of performance.
Partner with business leaders on assessing internal and external talent and making key decisions on hiring, internal movement, and compensation.
Own and manage recruiting and selection process for all open positions in Customer Support Services and Customer Operations.
Partner with and provides advice and counsel on employee relations and performance issues.
Work collaboratively to create and maintain positive employee relations and resolves conflicts in an effective manner. Interpret and administer all company-wide policies and procedures in a consistent manner and provides management with policy interpretation. Build responsibility and capability for managing employee relations issues. Prepare and review performance documentation as needed.
Provide data insights to business leaders on people metrics, such as headcount, turnover, termination, etc.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws.
Support employees in benefit-related questions and annual open enrollment.
Support onboarding new hires and new hire orientation.
Back-up support for payroll, managing leaves of absence and workers compensation claims.
Support Compensation and Planning efforts and make salary recommendations.
Manage the Life Fitness HCM for Customer Operations and Service functions.
Work with business partners to support performance management through the Life Fitness COACH tool and drive succession management by supporting the Talent Review process.
Manages and executes project-related HR initiatives and performs other duties assigned.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of bachelor’s degree required (Emphasis in Human Resources or related field preferred).
2-3 years of HR business partnering experience required.
Previous experience in managing employee relations required.
Must possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to interact with and establish trust and credibility with all levels of management.
Thrive in an ever-changing business climate and be comfortable with agility and working with multiple management styles and levels within the organization.
Must be able to research information and analyze evidence to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations and plans of action.
Expertise required in MS Office with intermediate knowledge of Excel / V-Look-up and Pivot Tables.
Experience in HCM or HRIS administration required.
Payroll administration and system reporting experience required.
Must demonstrate strong analytical ability, organizational skills and keen judgment and problem-solving skills.
Must possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of federal laws including Title VII, EEOC, ADA, ADEA, FMLA and FLSA.
Must possess excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple work assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
