The DEI office ensures DEI considerations are strategically aligned and integrated into all facets of our business strategy and goals to drive innovative products and solutions.
Job Description
Ideally this position would be filled by someone in the Chicago area however, we open to this person being remote, anywhere in the U.S.
The Diversity and Inclusion Specialist is responsible for supporting the successful implementation of MSI’s diversity & inclusion strategy across the organization.
A successful candidate will understand the business impact of diversity & inclusion and will leverage key metrics and strategies to drive positive business outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in the execution and delivery of diversity & inclusion programs and initiatives.
Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders, including, but not limited to: Corporate Communications, HRBP s, Learning and Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition/ Recruiting, People Analytics, etc.
Responsible for executing D&I communications activities, in collaboration with the internal and external Corporate Communications team, including updating and enhancing D&I content on intranet and internet sites.
Help to enhance diversity & inclusion education efforts, supporting the development and facilitation of new workshops, training, tools and resources to drive inclusion, belonging and retention initiatives.
Assist with diversity analytics, including tracking metrics, generating diversity reports to show trends, and communicating impact across diversity programs and initiatives.
Conduct research and stay current on new Diversity programs, initiatives, diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices to develop, recommend, and execute creative strategies to foster the organization’s diversity goals.
Assist with cultivating relationships with key internal and external diversity organizations.
Assist with the planning, setup, and breakdown of meetings, events and conferences.
Maintain and track department expenses on supplies and other purchases. Manage and reconcile activity with department Purchasing Card.

Qualifications:
Can exercise and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & various databases and/or G-Suite applications.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented team player with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment.
Ability to interact with all levels of management. Will be required to communicate specific instructions or requests to various individuals/levels of the organization.
Ability to act and make independent and discretionary judgment.
Good math and analytical skills.
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage & connect to diverse groups and individuals.
Basic Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Required - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Relations, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, Multicultural Studies or related disciplines preferred.
3 or more years of demonstrated work experience in Diversity & Inclusion
Working understanding of diversity and inclusion in a global, corporate, government, or educational environment.
