Are you ready to roll up your sleeves to make a difference? We are seeking a creative, agile, data-oriented HR Business Partner (HRBP) who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, while supporting globally dispersed customer groups. As a key, individual contributor you will partner with People Leaders to execute strategies for how we organize, staff, develop, motivate and retain our most valuable asset, our employees.
Are you up to the challenge?

  • Build strong relationships with employees and people leaders that lead to trusted problem solving and delivery of solutions.
  • Serve as the link between People Leaders and the HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, HRIS).
  • Support the design, roll out, and execution of new and existing HR programs and projects.
  • Provide input on people development, retention, performance management and other talent management activities.
  • Participate in the cultivation of the Intelsat culture to promote an exceptional people experience during the employee lifecycle. Recommend and assist with objective, compliant, employee actions and compensation recommendations.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to line management on HR related matters.
  • Provide project support to Director, HRBPs and act as backup for Chicago-based HRBP.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.


You should definitely have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR Business Partner/Generalist or related HR customer facing role with progressive responsibilities throughout tenure.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge and first-hand experience of the HR domain - from employee relations, employment law, performance management, etc.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills (clear, simple, situational, multi-level, multi-cultural)
  • Experience supporting customer groups with the interpersonal skills to effectively interact with people of various cultural backgrounds.
  • A focus on customer service, while being self-reliant, resourceful, and pragmatic.
  • Excellent planning, project management, coordination, and analysis capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel. Ability to adapt quickly to various HR tools.


But it would be nice if you had:

  • Experience supporting non-US based customers
  • SHRM or HRCI certification
  • Degree in Human Resources, or Business related
