What You'll Bring
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 8 + years directly related experience with an analytical acumen, preferably in Compensation, with at least a couple years experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong consultative / customer service skills required both in verbal and written communication.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Ability to manage, develop, and motivate other associates directly and indirectly.
Well-developed analytical, consultative, and communication skills.
Needs to have flexibility to work in situations where there is no unique, correct answer and be able to apply independent judgment to create solutions outside of established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with managers, employees, HR team, as well as external constituents such as vendors.
Demonstrated knowledge of matrix organizational structure, policies and practices are preferred.
Knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements related to compensation for countries as well as both federal, provincial and state jurisdictions as applicable.
Experience with compensation program design and implementation.
Systems experience including, administration, data management, reporting and within a HCM system, e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle etc.
Strong qualitative and analytical skills including manipulating data, querying, and reporting required. Includes ability to partner with appropriate internal and external resources to analyze and research compensation trends.
Ability to multitask many duties at same time and prioritize as needed based on deadlines, impact and urgency.
Must be highly proficient with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Certification is highly desirable – Certified Compensation Professional (CCP or GRP).
Impact You'll Make
This role will lead a team of Compensation Analysts and is responsible for managing the implementation and delivery of a variety of compensation programs and tools/processes. This role will own and lead the administration of job evaluation process, utilization of market surveys, market data inclusion in WD and transparency/education for managers and other related compensation processes. This role will oversee our survey planning and budgets. This role will lead multiple facets of annual compensation cycle including budgeting process, creating salary ranges, market data prep, WD compensation system requirements and testing, WD manager reporting, BU Leader analysis, and communication such as Compensation Statements.
Oversee and mentor compensation team members teaching compensation fundamentals, presentation building skills, and business case development.
Coach and develop team providing guidance and direction to work deliverables.
Leads and conducts various annual reviews to measure the effectiveness of our compensation structures including, internal equity, market surveys, merit movement, incentive plan payouts, comp-ratio averages and other metrics for analysis as needed.
Use market and business knowledge, in conjunction with compensation principles and policies, to assess the implication of market trends to identify compensation issues and opportunities.
Drives business results and objectives of team through goal setting, coaching, monitoring and evaluating performance.
Works with HR marketing communications to create messages that will advise and educate HRBPs and Managers of our compensation events, policies, processes, and procedures.
Ensures all compensation programs are compliant with country, federal, and state applicable laws and meeting organizational business objectives. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of both federal and state wage and hour laws including FLSA.
Contribute to the effectiveness of the year-end annual compensation planning cycle, promotion process, bonus payout, and pay for performance.
Partners with appropriate internal and external resources to ensure that all designed programs, plan documentation and communications meet the needs of the business.
Partners with Data Analytics team to help build and maintain tools to support compensation solutions.
May lead or participate on special compensation projects.
May perform other initiatives as assigned by department leadership.
