The HRIS Analyst supports the implementation, maintenance and development initiatives of all Human Resources computer applications. The HRIS Analyst follows appropriate procedures to ensure that data is accessible and maintained in accordance with policy and regulations in order to enhance the efficient operation of the department. The HRIS Analyst serves as a data expert and is instrumental in delivering streamline data workflows, interface capabilities, and reporting models. 

Responsibilities of the HRIS Analyst

  • Provides HR software support for to management across the organization
  • Manage and support HRIS implementation and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot issues within HR software
  • Extracting data from databases for analysis and auditing
  • Analyze, review and make recommendations for process improvement
  • Conduct trainings on supported HR software either one-on-one or group sessions
  • Analyze work process design and flow; Make improvements to maximize technological capabilities
  • Support necessary controls and check to ensure data and system integrity is maintained
  • Support coordination of HRIS system changes and modifications with HR, Payroll, IT, Audit and Accounting
  • Import new acquisition data and modify, as required
  • Set up and maintain user access and security
  • Assist with building new reporting tools and expanding HR Metrics to meet the unique needs of the organization

 Competencies of the HRIS Analyst

  • Demonstrated ability to manage project and process improvement in a fast-paced and changing environment. 
  • Ability to understand system integration concepts and apply best practices across varying platforms
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform reporting, monitoring, and analyzing functions with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to train users and write user-oriented documentation

     Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of HRIS experience
  • Experience with ADP and Workday
  • Strong business acumen and business analytics knowledge
  • Proficient in: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Must be able to interface at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment
  • Success in driving and managing projects

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in HRM or MBA preferred
  • PHR or SPHR certification
