Position Overview:
Within Camelot Illinois, the People & Culture Generalist will report to the Senior People Partner, this role as a Generalist will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of People and Culture tasks, like organizing training, assisting with recruitment, administering employee benefits and leaves, and crafting HR policies. You will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. And you’ll also act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise in a timely and courteous manner.
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives.
- Advise on all learning and development queries across the business.
- Support in the management of Camelot’s formal performance management process via workshops and training provision.
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management, employee engagement, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations
- Draft and distribute ad-hoc company-wide email communications.
Requirements
Required:
- 3 plus years of human resources, learning and development, or related experience.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
Preferred:
- PHR certification.
- Experience of successfully facilitating workshops and running training or orientation sessions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
