RECRUITING STRATEGIST, TECHNICAL
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Technical Recruiting Strategist at Centro plays an essential role in bringing in exceptional talent for the product and engineering organization while creating strong partnerships with hiring managers. This person must have a passion for technology and for Centro’s culture, and the desire to learn. Must be able to ask the right questions in order to understand what a hiring manager needs, how to work best with their teammates, and to know what a candidate is all about.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for full life-cycle recruiting, including the execution of sourcing strategies, assessing, and delivering a high quality, diverse talent pool to hiring managers
- Take a critical role in sourcing and building talent pipelines
- Attend hiring and network events and be an active member of the industry
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and act as a consultant throughout the entire recruitment process as well as set appropriate expectations around timing, execution of strategy and delivery
- Creative and flexible approach to recruiting. Focuses not just on hiring, but on always making the right hire
- Provide an exceptional, high-quality experience to all candidates by effectively communicating with them and managing their overall experience
- Continuously improve processes and procedures
- Educate and coach hiring managers on interview techniques
- Maintain a high level of productivity and service during critical hiring periods without compromising quality and service standards
- Participate in special projects, including diversity, entry-level and internship recruiting initiatives
- Remains knowledgeable about innovations and best practices in the HR sourcing and recruitment space and appropriately incorporates this knowledge in day-to-day operations
- Adhere to applicant tracking system compliance
- Other projects and duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of technical recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment at either an in-house or agency role
Knowledge of technologies, relational databases, frameworks, design tools, engineering trends, industry news and the Chicago/Toronto/San Fran markets
Experience with creative sourcing techniques and Boolean search- someone who understands the priorities of leveraging social media to source talent
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
- Must enjoy being a part of a high-energy, collaborative team; sense of humor required
- Must thrive in a changing and fast paced environment
- Possess a wide range of experience on current external recruiting policies, practices and trends
- Interest in media, technologies and desire to keep informed of new trends
- Demonstrated ability to build, manage and maintain strong relationships and networks
- Passion for company culture and community building
- Highly motivated and self-directed with a desire to contribute to the organization’s reputation and success
- Must be results driven with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to prioritize and manage daily activities, with minimal guidance, to maximize productivity, quality and delivery of services
- Must have a discerning eye for talent; have a successful track record of identifying and properly evaluating top talent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
- Must have advanced computer and database application skills (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Must have experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, Workday preferred
- Advanced internet sourcing experience preferred
