Job Description

The RMHC Learning and Development Supervisor will play a vital role within the RMHC Global Team by leading the RMHC system learning and development strategy. RMHC equips the board and staff of local Chapters with the skill and knowledge needed to grow professionally while fostering a culture of organizational excellence and compassionate hospitality. Through relevant and accessible educational opportunities, we seek to Develop Leaders – Showcase Success and Inspire Innovation – Promote Teamwork and Instill Empathy.

The RMHC Learning and Development Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the design and execution of learning opportunities for the network of local Chapters operating in 65 countries and regions. 

Process Engagement

  • Participate in ideation and gather input from RMHC Global, Global Advisory Council and RMHC Learning Partners to understand organizational needs, articulate learning goals, measurements and methodology.
  • Manage the calendar of RMHC Learning Opportunities: in-person classroom, virtual classroom, on demand and social learning. Facilitate active communication with faculty and presenters, ensure timely submission of presentations and assist with technology aspect of hosting virtual classroom learning sessions. 
  • Complete technical aspects of the design and ongoing implementation of RMHC-U, the global learning management system, offering on-demand modules and virtual classroom sessions. Using on-line tools and technology, develop RMHC custom learning modules and eLearning Content, and maintain the ecosystem of RMHC-U.
  • Help to lead the development and execution of RMHC International Conferences (every 4 years) and RMHC Regional Conferences (every 4 years, alternating biennially with International Conference). Key member of the conference-planning team, leading and facilitating key components, such as registration site design. Provide on-site support to conference faculty and work closely with meeting planning staff to ensure optimal learning environment.
  • Support the learning journey of RMHC Leadership program cohorts.
  • Effectively communicate learning offerings in RMHC learning assets including the registration website and mobile app to encourage widespread participation.
  • Track system engagement and participation in RMHC Learning Opportunities; provide reports and analysis to RMHC Learning and Development Manager and other team members, as requested.
  • Engage with Global team members, learners and key stakeholders to evaluate and improve learning design and execution. Share leading practices and lessons learned.
  • Use evaluation results to improve learning design and execution. Evaluate existing programs for impact and alignment with needs. 

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

  • Designing Learning Certificate (ATD)
  • Associates Degree in business administration or other related field
  • Minimum of three years of work experience supporting learning solutions and curricula plans. Experience working with non-profit organizations preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply principles and practices globally, across cultures and borders, to enhance learning and performance.
  • A proactive and ready learner.
  • Experience with SABA Learning Management System.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Learning, desired
  • Proficiency with technical learning authoring tools, such as Articulate and eLearning Brothers.

Project Management

  • Meticulous: detail-oriented with the ability to plan, schedule and prioritize; manage time effectively with competing and concurrent priorities while adhering to standards, timelines, budgets, effective communication, and collaboration.
  • Able to convey thoughts verbally or in writing in a confident and compelling manner; show versatility as a communicator in adapting style to suit varied audiences.
  • Able to manage and support concurrent projects and priorities.

People

  • Collaborate with team members on development and deployment of the global education and people development strategy.
  • Work cooperatively with others in ways that support the success of the overall team.
  • Value and respect others: relate to and work well with a diverse group of people; show cultural and interpersonal sensitivity.
  • Support relationships with RMHC learning partners (i.e., Kellogg School of Management, FranklinCovey, BoardSource, individual faculty) to ensure relevant curricula for all areas of nonprofit management and activity.
