Senior Learning & Development Consultant
Responsibilities
- Manage large, complex training programs following project management guidelines/best practices
- Design, develop and facilitate (where needed) complex blended learning programs and new-hire technical bootcamps that decrease time-to-ramp
- Consider career path for a set of roles and build training program that supports and aligns to the career progression
- Align business goals, learning objectives, and instructional strategies and assessments within each learning event
- Select the appropriate delivery type for training projects
- Design and develop instructionally sound assessments and certifications aligned to the projects G&Os
- Conduct and participate in Quality Assurance reviews for training materials
- Build and maintain relationships with internal SMEs, stakeholders, and key cross-functional partners to ensure ongoing trust and rapport
- Lead meetings and effective brainstorming sessions with varying levels of stakeholders
- Guide and coach other L&D team members and SMEs as projects require
- Create project plans and communication plans; monitor and adjust the plan as needed
- Ensure learning content and materials are aligned to training goals and objectives and are engaging, clear and concise
- Create slide decks, participant guides, facilitator guides, tests, quizzes, job aids, etc. to support learning events
- Create compelling visuals, diagrams, and flow charts which aid in the transfer of knowledge
- Create storyboards for virtual and web-based trainings
- Utilize course authoring tools to build engaging web-based and virtual trainings
- Facilitate interactive training sessions that contain activities, role plays, discussions, and/or scenarios.
- Upload content into the LMS, setup notifications, create course structure, setup reports, and enroll attendees for a course
- Maintain quiz, test, and certification scores, and course completion for your courses, boot-camps, and programs in the LMS
- Determine if course functionality issues are course, LMS, network, user, or other issue
- Define requirements and support the testing and selection of technology and training vendors, as needed
- Contribute suggestions for long-range goals designed to increase innovation and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Learning or HR preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of adult learning theory, Bloom's taxonomy, the ADDIE model, and other instructional design best practices preferred
- Detail-oriented and dependable, with a positive and inquisitive attitude
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders
- Flexible, coachable, innovative, proactive and ability to work effectively in an evolving, continuous improvement environment.
- Experience with one or more Learning Management Systems
- Experience with course authoring tools, specifically Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise
- Experience with Salesforce and and/or Trailhead
- Experience creating training for both internal employees and/or clients/partners
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite and SharePoint
- Seven or more years of experience in a Learning and Development role
