Job Summary
The Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for the talent acquisition strategy and operations for the sales organization to support Echo’s growth model. This role will partner with senior leaders across 35+ branches to develop talent acquisition strategies, leverage recruiting tools/technology and implement processes to deliver against hiring needs. Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition and Development this role will serve as a thought partner to the Talent Team. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop 4+ recruiters and contract resources as needed
  • Create and implement strategic plans to support business shifts that impact talent/hiring needs
  • Build and foster a credible relationship with senior leaders, hiring managers and critical stakeholders acting as a subject matter expert hiring for early career to senior management roles
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by building and maintaining external partnerships, acquiring market intelligence and influencing solutions to achieve outcomes
  • Keep up to date on external trends and innovative recruiting and sourcing techniques to foster competitive recruiting practices
  • Create and maintain measures and metrics to drive data driven decisions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the function
  • Foster and activate Echo’s employer brand to increase quality and diverse talent pools
  • Provide input into the annual Talent Acquisition budget and ensure budget can support ongoing talent initiatives
  • Leverage current and emerging technologies to drive efficiencies and deliver results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years recruiting experience required working at all levels
  • A minimum of 3 years leading and developing recruiting teams
  • Passion for developing teams and managing through ambiguity
  • Strong relationship builder and demonstrated ability to influence others
  • Process oriented with the ability to leverage data to drive measurable results
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel as needed
