Talent and Culture Business Partner
The Team: The Corporate team unites a variety of functions at Morningstar and each plays an essential role in supporting our company’s strategic initiatives, day-to-day operations and infrastructure. The Talent & Culture team is the steward of Morningstar’s unique culture. We create opportunity and rewards for our employees to achieve the highest level of productivity. We need Talent & Culture business partners, that span different experience tenures (new to business partnership through tenured leadership experience), who can understand the work we do, the kinds of people who succeed here, and how people work together across the company globally. The goal is to provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity and goal attainment.
Responsibilities
-Advise and consult with your internal clients taking a thoughtful and creative approach to identifying solutions that align with Morningstar’s people philosophies and work environment.
-Proactively create systematic and programmatic ways (Centers of Excellence) to deliver support by marshaling the range of resources in Talent & Culture team and across the company including our subject matter experts in Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations and Labor Law, Talent & Culture Operations as well as all managers in the company.
-Provide guidance to managers and employees on coaching, mentoring, training and development, rewards and recognition, and performance management.
-Work closely with business leaders on Talent & Culture organizational strategies including resource planning and talent utilization.
-Collaborate with Talent & Culture colleagues to pro-actively improve and globalize work processes and achieve desired outcomes.
-Partner with business leaders to support and lead efforts that continue to enhance employee engagement.
-Implement global Talent & Culture practices and processes in your business. Create and deliver an effective employee value proposition, talent acquisition, and talent management strategies.
-Foster a great work environment that allows employees to do their best work by being a business-focused employee advocate, bringing empathy to interactions and focusing on an engaging employee experience.
Desired Experience
-Demonstrated ability to earn senior managers’ confidence and be relied upon as a trusted team member by senior managers and employees; able to build strong teams and relationships
-Project management and/or program development and implementation experience.
-Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
-Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems on a strategic level.
-Some human resources-related experience (i.e. as a manager or people leader) or 3-5 years of experience in areas such as talent acquisition, talent management, learning & development, employee rewards and employee relations is desirable.
