WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own all diversity and inclusion initiatives for the company.
  • Drive semi-annual performance review process for all employees.
  • Initiate and facilitate training programs, including, but not limited to, management training, leadership training, diversity training and new employee onboarding.
  • Maintain and iterate on strategy for employee career growth and development.
  • Set a clear and ambitious strategy for recruiting, along with process and guidance for the recruiting team.
  • Keep a close pulse on retention and acquisition, offering guidance and direction to keep turnover low and satisfaction high.

WHERE THIS ROLE MAY LEAD YOU

  • If, based upon your experience and interest, you join NextCapital as a ‘Director’, this role can grow into a VP-level role. If, based upon your experience and interest, you join NextCapital as a VP, this role can grow over time into a SVP-level role, as you would have a direct hand in building a vital component of our company. In all instances, this role would enable you to become a company-wide and industry-wide ‘Thought Leader’, as you would be present-at-the-creation of some important initiatives for our company.

Requirements

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • You have a history of growing companies with culture at the center, improving employee experience through tactical strategy.
  • You have 5-15 years of industry experience in Human Resources, People Operations or relevant alternative roles.
  • You have created and facilitated diversity training as well as management coaching, and are unafraid to initiate new training and development programs.
  • You have a working comprehension of employment laws and regulations.
  • You are comfortable with managing and influencing executives and managers to adopt people operations best practices.
  • You know how to make hard conversations easy and tackle tricky and unusual topics with grace.
  • You have a need, or an interest, to work-from-home all of the time, some of the time, or none of the time. (The former will always be available; the latter two will become available once the COVID-19 pandemic cools down.)
