Department OverviewThe HR Technology Team is the primary organization within Motorola Solutions that is responsible for managing and supporting enterprise HCM applications including Workday HCM and Workday Recruiting. The team serves as a strategic partner to various HCM functions, HCM Centers of Excellence and business organizations, who are our customers. In our strategic role, we deliver Workday solutions to our customers to improve efficiency of business processes, facilitate seamless HCM transactions and enable data-driven decision making through analytics and data mining. On the operational side, we provide day-to-day support that enables our HCM partners and employees to effectively use Workday as an integral part of their daily work.
Serve as a technical expert and strategic advisor for Workday HCM, working with HR functional teams to provide creative solutions and long-term vision for the platform. Specifically, provide leadership in areas of rewards and compensation configuration, business processes, and reporting.
Work closely with the Rewards and Compensation teams in the design and realization of custom compensation models, salary structures, and bonus plans
Build, deploy and support annual bonus and stock grant processes as well as quarterly merit review cycles and ad-hoc compensation review through EIBs
Serve as a strong consultative partner to HR functional leaders and business users to continuously improve service delivery
Oversee and support the ongoing design, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of the Compensation Business Processes in Workday
Interface with system architects and technical leads on report design, business process optimization and integrations
Participate in report reviews, including understanding and ensuring security and data privacy standards
Stay abreast of new functionality becoming available in Workday and drive the deployment of feature releases
Expertise in Workday Compensation, Advanced Compensation and related business processes
Proven experience in configuring, deploying and supporting annual bonus and stock grant, and merit review cycles within Workday
In-depth understanding of Workday HCM core processes such as change job, manage organizations, creating new compensation plans and payroll feed integrations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and leadership
Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle both planned and unplanned responsibilities
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Previous certification in Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation desirable
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant HR or technical field (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, or related technical discipline) or equivalent combination of training and work experience
- 3+ years of experience in Workday Compensation, Advanced Compensation and related business processes
