JOB OVERVIEW:

Works closely with management in the implementation of corporate policies related to human resources (“HR”), organizational and Team Schein Member (“TSM”) development at the business unit or division level. Consults with TSMs and leaders to address root causes of HR issues, attempting to resolve TSM relation issues with a systematic approach. Participates in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., compensation reviews, workforce planning, and organizational change). Assists senior leaders in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-oriented perspectives. May play a role in administering talent management and succession planning activity within client organization. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem solving.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Serves as an adviser and consultant to business leaders on issues pertaining to human resources.
  • Provides effective and timely support to TSMs on HR matters in areas including performance management, employee relations and work force planning.
  • Works with business leaders to determine business needs and collaborates with HR other support teams, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, Organization Development, and Mergers & Acquisition (as applicable), to help meet these needs.
  • Consults with leaders and provides strategic and operational HR guidance.
  • Resolves complex employee relations issues.
  • Works closely with leaders and TSMs to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Monitors and reports on workforce analytics and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for teams, leaders, and individuals.
  • Leads the hiring process for high-priority roles, from creating job descriptions to screening and interviewing candidates, as applicable.

  • Knowledge of core business functions, strategy, and interactions.
  • Solid decision making, analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Solutions oriented and results driven.
  • Ability to develop, plan and effectively implement initiatives and projects.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building acumen.
  • Effective change management skills.
  • Utilization of strong discretion and judgement in working with highly confidential and/or sensitive data.

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Typically, 3 to 5 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional and HR experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

  • Typically, a bachelor's degree or global equivalent in related discipline
  • Possessing or pursuing a professional HR Certification (such as the PHR) is preferred

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travel typically less than 10%.
  • Office environment.
  • No special physical demands required.

The posted range for this position is $62,305 to $97,352 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. 

This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
