Job Overview
We are seeking a part-time Human Resources Intern. This position reports to the AVP of Human Resources. The HR team manages employee culture, benefits, recruitment, payroll, training, performance and corrective action, management support, compliance, and many other tasks. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry.
Our ideal candidate for this role is looking to develop their HR experience with a fast-growing multi-state firm. This position has the potential to grow into a full HR Coordinator role supporting teams across the country. AR is a learning organization which places a high value on candidates who exhibit a strong work ethic, curiosity, and initiative to develop sustainable support processes.   
Key Responsibilities

  • Administers HRIS platform. Processes employee information changes. Ensures accuracy of information contained in the system. Conducts auditing as necessary. Provides reporting as requested.
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
  • Assists with processing tasks at all stages of the employee life cycle, from onboarding to termination.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process. Schedules candidate interviews. Tracks status of candidates and responds with follow-up letters throughout the recruiting process. Drafts job descriptions.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the AVP of HR.
  • Organizes personnel files and other HR data.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to work 20-25 hours/week during the school year, hours flexible depending on class schedule.

Salary Range: $21.00/hour, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
