While our expertise spans multiple disciplines, our method remains consistent: building trust and relationship with people -- whether you are a client, a consultant, or--in this case--a candidate.

No matter what role you come from--whether you're an executive or just starting your career-you can expect our highest level of attention and respect. We want to find the right fit for each role, but we also want you to find the right fit for your career.

We believe the best way to show you what our team is like is to treat you like you're already a part of it. We hope you'll consider joining our team of experienced professionals who are building their careers at Kalles Group—and having fun while doing it.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As an IAM Product Owner Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our client's Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) program by providing leadership, structure, and operational excellence across a growing Agile delivery team. This role extends well beyond backlog management—you will serve as the central point of coordination between Product Management, Program Management, Engineering, Architecture, Security, and executive stakeholders to ensure identity initiatives move from strategy to successful execution.

Working within a rapidly evolving PMO environment, you will help establish consistent delivery practices while navigating organizational complexity, shifting priorities, and multiple stakeholder groups. You will bring clarity to ambiguous requirements, translate business objectives into actionable work, and ensure Product Backlog Items (PBIs) are refined, prioritized, and ready for development. Success in this role requires strong political awareness, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence without direct authority while keeping delivery teams focused on business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the team's Product Backlog, ensuring user stories are refined, prioritized, and ready for sprint execution
  • Translate business objectives, functional requirements, and architectural designs into well-defined Product Backlog Items (PBIs)
  • Partner with Product Managers, Program Managers, Architects, and Engineering teams to align delivery with enterprise priorities
  • Help establish and reinforce Agile delivery structure within an evolving PMO governance model
  • Drive backlog refinement sessions and ensure work meets Definition of Ready prior to sprint planning
  • Identify risks, dependencies, blockers, and sequencing issues early while proactively communicating impacts
  • Coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups to maintain alignment on priorities, delivery timelines, and scope
  • Provide consistent communication to technical teams, line management, Directors, and executive leadership regarding delivery progress and emerging risks
  • Balance competing priorities while supporting multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced, meeting-intensive environment
  • Support release planning and execution while ensuring dependencies and deliverables remain aligned across teams
  • Foster collaboration across Security, Identity, Infrastructure, Architecture, QA, and Product organizations
  • Help create repeatable delivery processes that improve transparency, accountability, and execution maturity
  • Act as a servant leader for the CIAM delivery team by removing obstacles, facilitating communication, and driving work to completion
  • Maintain awareness of organizational dynamics and communicate effectively in complex, highly matrixed environments

ABOUT YOU:

Your values:

    • Integrity: You believe in doing the right thing, even when it's uncomfortable, seemingly inefficient, or costly.
    • Purposefulness: You have a desire to serve others with your skillset and an openness to continuous learning and growth.
    • Ownership: You stick to your commitments, follow up with action, and seek clarity in communication & expectations.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience serving as a Product Owner within Agile software delivery environments
  • Previous experience supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM) or Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) initiatives
  • Experience leading cross-functional delivery efforts involving engineering, architecture, security, and business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to operate successfully within complex, highly matrixed organizations
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices, backlog management, user story refinement, sprint planning, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience partnering with Product Managers and Program Managers to translate strategic initiatives into executable work
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills with experience presenting to both technical teams and executive leadership
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining delivery momentum
  • Experience identifying and managing delivery risks, dependencies, and competing priorities
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with significant collaboration, frequent meetings, and evolving priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations
  • Experience working West Coast business hours, including regular late afternoon meetings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous software engineering or technical leadership experience
  • Hands-on experience with Customer Identity technologies including PingFederate, PingOne DaVinci, or similar CIAM platforms
  • Familiarity with Azure API Management (APIM), Cosmos DB, F5/Shape, or related identity infrastructure
  • Experience supporting identity integrations for customer-facing or mobile applications
  • Knowledge of fraud prevention, governance, and risk management solutions such as Outseer
  • Experience within financial services or highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with Fiserv Corillian or similar digital banking platforms
  • Ability to read and interpret technical architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, and system integration documentation
  • Experience implementing governance and delivery structure within organizations undergoing Agile or PMO transformation
