At NorthWinds Technology Solutions®, we are a technology organization that offers a leading solution in the dental insurance industry, working with our Delta Dental dental insurance partners. This modern, cloud-based technology platform is growing quickly with over 10 million lives under contract. NorthWinds offers an Internship program for students pursuing careers in Information Technology. This year we will be hiring 3 Interns to start in June 2025 to join our teams and work in a variety of capacities. This flexible, paid internship program will work full time throughout the summer, working at one of our three home office locations in Stevens Point, WI, Roanoke, VA, or Naperville, IL (there could be some remote work for some areas). Most of our Interns also work part time throughout the school year, or as business needs dictate. This program will allow you to work in a variety of settings to hone your skills.
Our internship program will expose candidates to various areas of IT including roles in 1st and 2nd level computer support for systems or enterprise applications, help desk troubleshooting and analysis, security, compliance, IT auditing, and general organizational operations. Interns will learn about emerging business technologies, software development, time management tools, and receive mentoring and coaching to exercise and refine soft skills.
The intern typically will choose one team as their main area of interest and work primarily with that team. However, they could have some opportunity to rotate through other teams in order to gain experience and an understanding of how each team functions and how they contribute to the organization as a whole. Our program provides students practical skills through hands-on assignments working with talented professionals who are willing to share their knowledge.
