We are a newly independent wealth management firm, with approximately $500 million in revenue, recently carved out from a larger parent company and acquired by a leading private equity sponsor. With a strong foundation of client relationships, acquisitions, and growth potential, we are in the process of standing up new systems, processes, and controls to support our next phase of expansion. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the tax infrastructure of a high-growth platform from the ground up.

Summary:

Wealthspire is seeking a highly skilled M365 Infrastructure Architect to design, build, and evolve our Microsoft 365 and Azure-based workplace infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring a secure, resilient, and scalable end-user and collaboration environment that supports business growth, operational excellence, and future M&A activity.

The M365 Infrastructure Architect will serve as a hands-on technical leader, partnering closely with Infrastructure & IT Operations, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Architecture to deliver modern, automated, and highly available Microsoft platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Microsoft 365 & Azure Architecture

  • Design and maintain M365 architecture aligned with enterprise standards and security best practices, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and related collaboration services.
  • Manage Entra ID (Azure AD), conditional access, identity governance, and role-based access controls, and support Azure-based identity, access, and endpoint management solutions.
  • Architect endpoint management using Intune, including device compliance, application deployment, and lifecycle management.
  • Support Azure infrastructure components that underpin M365 services and drive automation, standardization, and self-service capabilities across the Microsoft platform.

End User Computing & Collaboration

  • Ensure availability, performance, and scalability of collaboration tools across the organization, delivering high-quality end-user experiences.
  • Partner with Service Desk and IT Operations to improve service reliability, incident response, and change management. Serve as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure and collaboration issues.
  • Enable modern workplace capabilities that improve productivity and employee experience.

Carve-Out & M&A Support

  • · Execute M365-related activities for divestitures, acquisitions, and integrations.
  • · Develop repeatable technical playbooks for tenant migrations, identity consolidation, and data transitions.
  • · Ensure minimal disruption and strong security posture during transitional events, leading technical execution for M365 components throughout carve-outs and integrations.

Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Partner with Cybersecurity on IAM, endpoint protection, data loss prevention, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, SEC, NYDFS).
  • Enforce configuration standards, monitoring, and audit readiness across Microsoft platforms.

Vendor & Platform Enablement

  • Work with Microsoft, CSPs, and managed service providers to optimize platform usage, cost, and day-to-day Technology operations and vendor relationships.
  • Evaluate new Microsoft features and roadmap items for business applicability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and operations.

Qualifications:

  • 8–12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with deep focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Proven experience architecting and supporting enterprise-scale M365 environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience supporting M&A, carve-outs, or large-scale tenant migrations.
  • Solid understanding of security, identity, and compliance requirements in regulated environments.
  • Ability to balance strategic architecture with hands-on technical execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

What Makes This Role Unique

  • Opportunity to architect and evolve a modern Microsoft-first environment.
  •  Direct impact on enterprise infrastructure, security, and integration strategy.
  • Collaborative culture with strong alignment between infrastructure, security, and business teams.
  • Hybrid work environment with flexibility and growth opportunities.
