The IT Systems Administrator I plays a vital role in supporting the stability and performance of our zCloud (Mainframe) environment. The primary focus of this position is to assist with Capacity Planning and Performance Reporting, ensuring that system resources are efficiently allocated and performance metrics are accurately tracked. Working under the guidance of senior team members, the incumbent will learn and apply best practices for monitoring system utilization, compiling reports, and identifying trends or potential issues.

• Monitor system capacity and performance, identifying areas for improvement and assisting with resource allocation.
• Generate regular performance reports, analyze data, and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT team members to support ongoing operations and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
• Maintain documentation related to system performance and capacity planning activities.
• Demonstrate adaptability and commitment to learning new technologies and processes.
• Uphold integrity and professionalism in daily interactions, embodying Alight’s core values.

This entry-level opportunity is ideal for candidates eager to develop their technical skills while actively contributing to the continuity and efficiency of our mainframe operations. The apprentice will receive mentoring and training, supporting both their professional growth and the organization’s mission to sustain critical business infrastructure. This person must be a US citizen, reside in the US and be able to pass a Federal background check.
