Junior Commercial Lines Account Manager / Commercial Lines CSR
We are seeking a motivated Junior Commercial Lines Account Manager / Commercial Lines CSR to support our commercial lines team in Metuchen, NJ. This role is ideal for an early-career insurance professional who has some commercial lines service experience and is looking to grow within a stable, client-focused agency environment.
In this role, you will assist with the daily servicing of commercial accounts, including policy changes, endorsements, renewals, certificates of insurance, routine client communication, and internal follow-up with carriers and team members. You will be part of a collaborative agency team that values accuracy, responsiveness, and strong customer service.
Key Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Support commercial lines account servicing across a book of business
- Process endorsements, renewals, certificates, and policy documentation
- Communicate with clients, carriers, and internal teammates in a timely, professional manner
- Track open items and help keep accounts moving through the renewal and servicing process
- Maintain accurate records in agency systems and support workflow discipline
- Learn and apply agency procedures, carrier guidelines, and account servicing best practices
- Support policy checking, discrepancy correction, and general servicing follow-through
- Assist with audit reconciliations and loss control follow-up as needed
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
What we're looking for
- 1-3 years of commercial lines account management and/or CSR experience
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Clear communication and a client-service mindset
- Ability to stay organized and handle multiple priorities
- NJ P&C license preferred; licensing readiness is acceptable for the right junior candidate
- AMS360 experience preferred
- Transportation, heavy construction, or inland marine exposure is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel

- Potential for 1 hybrid day per week after a 60-90 day probation period, subject to performance and business needs
Compensation
- Base salary: $60,000-$70,000
- Target hiring sweet spot: Around $65,000
- Top end for standout junior hire: Up to $72,000
- Bonus potential: Year-end and/or discretionary bonus is market-aligned
