Summary

In this role, you will lead the strategic direction, prioritization, and execution of Vizient's enterprise Automation-as-a-Product program. Serving as the Business Technical Product Owner (BTPO), you will bridge business priorities with technical delivery by managing the overall Automation program including Robotic Process Automation (RPA). AI tool intake process, maintaining the automation product backlog, and driving adoption of approved AI and automation capabilities.

You will partner closely with business leaders, technology teams, AI governance, and delivery partners to ensure automation initiatives align with organizational priorities, deliver measurable business value, and are executed using disciplined product management practices. This role is responsible for translating business needs into actionable product roadmaps, prioritizing investments based on strategic impact, and ensuring solutions are delivered efficiently while supporting responsible and scalable AI adoption across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise AI tool intake process, receiving, evaluating, prioritizing, and managing requests from business stakeholders while maintaining defined service level expectations.
  • Triage incoming AI and automation requests using established governance frameworks and provide structured recommendations for governance review and approval.
  • Communicate intake decisions, approval status, and prioritization rationale to stakeholders while escalating policy and risk-related decisions to AI Governance leadership as appropriate.
  • Maintain visibility into the enterprise automation intake pipeline through transparent backlog and request management.
  • Own and maintain the enterprise automation product backlog, defining, refining, and prioritizing work based on business value, strategic objectives, risk, and organizational priorities.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate a rolling automation product roadmap while presenting roadmap updates and product strategy to executive leadership.
  • Translate business requirements into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, business outcomes, and measurable success metrics.
  • Make and document prioritization decisions and product tradeoffs to maximize enterprise value and ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Serve as the technical product owner for Microsoft Copilot and approved enterprise AI solutions, partnering with Microsoft 365 platform teams to manage configuration and administration within established governance policies.
  • Oversee the end-to-end deployment lifecycle for approved AI and automation solutions, including pilot execution, production rollout, integration validation, quality assurance, and release planning.
  • Establish and maintain technical standards, solution architecture patterns, and integration best practices for enterprise automation capabilities.
  • Partner with AI Enablement, Learning & Development, Organizational Change Management, and Strategic Communications teams to ensure successful adoption, change readiness, and user enablement.
  • Provide product capability documentation, roadmap updates, and use case guidance to support enterprise AI education and training initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 7 or more years of experience serving as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar product leadership role required.
  • Experience managing internal technology platforms, digital workplace products, or enterprise services required.
  • Experience working within Microsoft 365 environments, endpoint management, or IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow or Ivanti required.
  • Experience leveraging Digital Employee Experience (DEX) tools, telemetry, analytics, and user feedback to drive product decisions required.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and translate Voice of the Customer (VOC) insights into prioritized product backlogs and roadmap initiatives required.
  • Proven experience measuring product success through adoption metrics, service improvements, user experience enhancements, and operational outcomes required.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across engineering, IT operations, service desk, security, and business functions required.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making, navigate competing priorities, and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups required.
  • Experience developing and managing strategic product roadmaps, backlog prioritization, and product investment decisions required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate product strategy, business value, and prioritization rationale to both technical and executive audiences required.
  • Experience managing internal products with a focus on user experience, adoption, continuous improvement, and measurable business value required.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies, Scrum, and product lifecycle management practices required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical information into business-focused insights required.
  • Experience with enterprise AI technologies including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or other generative AI platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise automation, AI adoption, or digital transformation initiatives preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
