We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

It includes implementing an architectural roadmap that balances innovative design with regulatory requirements, customer needs, and profitability. The position focuses on enhancing customer experience and monitoring success metrics through usability studies and market analysis. Responsibilities also encompass managing workstreams for analytics and competitive analysis, overseeing product profitability, participating in operational reviews, and collaborating with content developers, data scientists, and designers. This job is an individual contributor.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Inputs to product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product or enabling platform.
  • Implements the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design and technical implementation, while balancing regulatory requirements, time-to-market, meeting customer needs and product profitability.
  • Controls for the customer experience and customer needs in product requirements and as an input to decision making.
  • Monitors metrics that inform the success of products including usability studies, research and market analysis.
  • Manages one or more workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitors product profitability measures, including budget.
  • Participates in operational mechanisms that drive execution and accountability including Product Reviews, Operating Reviews, and Business Reviews. Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed.
  • Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers.

Expected Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

As a Lead Product Manager in the Consumer Financial Services team, you will be responsible for developing new product features and capabilities to scale our Venmo Debit Card. The Venmo Debit Card provides our consumers with payment flexibility to shop with Venmo online, in-store and in-app while earning cashback by doing so.

You’ll work with other product managers, engineers, designers, risk and other key partners to build and execute a detailed product roadmap to deliver on full-year performance.You will leverage the data around our existing products and review where the largest opportunities may be to grow and expand our target audience, manage request intakes, prioritization. feature scoping and participate in agile ceremonies to drive execution and launch. You will work with the Debit Card product team to help support balancing customer needs with business requirements, legal/compliance risks, partnership opportunities and monetization considerations.

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

Primary Location | Pay Range:

San Jose, California | ($176,500.00 - $262,350.00 Annually)

Additional Location(s) | Pay Range:

Chicago, Illinois | ($160,500.00 - $238,700.00 Annually) Austin, Texas | ($160,500.00 - $238,700.00 Annually) Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable. This role is also eligible for a range of benefits which may include, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, parental and family leave, 401(k) savings plan, paid time off, and other benefits.
