Job Description SummaryAs a member of the Gas Power Software & Controls Solutions Sales Team you will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships that enable continued market success and further market penetration in your assigned region.
The Lead Sales Manager- Software & Controls Solutions, is responsible for leading customer relationships for the Gas and Steam Power Services portfolio in the assigned region / territory. Responsible for orders, commitments and customer strategy for a defined region. They will manage the customer relationship for their accounts in their respective region / territory.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop long term strategic plans by customer to drive market / customer penetration in support of Orders, Sales, Cash and Contribution Margin growth.
  • Maintain on-going customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customers 
  • Drive a sales pipeline on complex, multi-offering transactions that may include Parts, Lifecare Services, Turbine / Generator Upgrades, Digital Solutions and Long Term Service / Parts Agreements. 
  • Develop and maintain key Account Plans with detailed insights focused on Customer’s Strategy, Customer ESG Policies, Organizational Structures, Buying Behaviors, Outage and Opportunity Forecasts
  • Continuously monitor and drive the development of the opportunity pipeline for regional opportunities 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR (High School Diploma/GED and 3-5 years of experience in the Power Generation Industry)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Project Management or Customer Service in the Power Generation industry

Desired Characteristics

  • Located on the east coast or south regions of the US for territorial travel purposes
  • Experience working with, and knowledge of, Gas, and Steam Turbine / Generator technology products and services
  • Provide leadership through the formulation and execution of proposal strategies that capitalize on GE's competitive strengths to serve the customer's needs while meeting GE’s business goals. 
  • Support the maintenance of accurate and current project and opportunity information in Sales Force 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to manage and influence in a matrix environment 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Integrative team working style 
  • Time management skills and ability to work across functions 
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter 
  • Business acumen / analytic ability 
  • Provide demand forecasting and pacing support to Sales Operations / Finance. 
  • Work with Marketing and Product Line to develop new products and services for business growth
  • Gas and / or Steam Turbine and Generator Controls knowledge
  • Ability to travel 50%

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $92,800.00 and $154,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: sales incentive.
