Lead Software Engineer - ZAIDYN Commercial - Platform Development - UR26 (Evanston, IL)
Salary: $153,317 - $170,000 per year
Location: Evanston, IL and various, unanticipated locations throughout the United States.

Job Role and Responsibilities: The ZAIDYN Commercial - Platform Development team designs, implements, tests, and supports ZS's ZAIDYN AI-powered, cloud-native platform which helps drive superior customer experiences and revenue outcomes through integrated products & analytics. The role will research, design, and develop computer and/or network software or specialized utility programs. Design, implement, test, and/or support high-quality products by making critical software decisions and providing software-related subject matter expertise to ZS teams. Research new technologies, design advanced optimizations, and implement world-class user interfaces. Develop products and services using ZS's proprietary software as a service ("SaaS") platform. Partner with Software Managers, Product Managers, and QA Analysts to develop realistic implementation plans with a focus on quality and sustainability. Perform automated testing, unit testing, Agile development, continuous integration, code reviews, and technical design to ensure the delivery of quality products. Research industry trends and technologies and promote adoption of best-in-class tools and technologies. Understand business issues and actively participate in designing products and features that meet business needs. Mentor and coach a team of engineers, conducting code reviews, and facilitating professional growth through regular 1:1s. Act as a technical Scrum Master, leading daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure the team remains focused and unblocked. May work at various, unanticipated locations throughout the United States.

Qualifications: Master's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineering-related role. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a software engineering-related role.
Position requires experience with the following:
1. Full-stack Saas development;
2. REST frameworks;
3. Building and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) solutions using Maven, Jenkins, and/or TeamCity;
4. Front-end development using AngularJS and TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3;
5. Back-end development using Java and GraphQL;
6. Relational databases SQL and PostgreSQL; and
7. AWS.
