Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Learning & Development Intern to join our team at Dynatrace One. This role supports the design and development of learning solutions for employee onboarding, product education, technical skills, and professional development. The ideal candidate is eager to learn instructional design methods, build new skills, and contribute to meaningful learning experiences across the organization.
Your role at DynatraceResponsibilities:
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Assist in gathering stakeholder needs and translating requirements into basic learning and performance support tasks.
- Support collaboration efforts with SMEs and team members during training needs assessments.
Performance Improvement:
- Support analysis of performance gaps and contribute to brainstorming solutions to improve learner performance.
Instructional Design:
- Apply introductory instructional design principles and models (e.g., ADDIE).
- Help develop engaging and interactive learning materials under guidance from senior team members.
Content Creation:
- Contribute to the creation of multi‑modal learning content including eLearning modules, ILT/vILT materials, videos, and simple digital assets.
Material Development
- Assist in developing and maintaining learning materials such as job aids, presentations, infographics, and facilitator/participant guides.
Program Evaluation:
- Help collect and analyze basic learning effectiveness data using evaluation frameworks such as Kilpatrick
Facilitation:
- Support facilitation sessions and occasionally present portions of content in a guided environment.
Project Management:
- Contribute to organizing project tasks, tracking timelines, and coordinating deliverables.
Communication:
- Communicate clearly with SMEs, stakeholders, and team members and contribute to documentation and writing tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
- Local to Detroit, MI and able to come to the office on a hybrid schedule.
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Education, Organizational Development, Learning Technology, HPI, or other related fields.
- Coursework or project experience related to instructional design, adult learning theory, or multimedia development.
- An understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design models (like ADDIE or SAM). Experience creating engaging, effective, and interactive learning experiences.
- Experience in facilitation, presentation, and consultative skills.
- Strong writing and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, apply problem-solving skills, adapt, and pivot quickly in an ever-changing environment.
- Up to date on learning technology trends, research, and innovations.
- Familiarity with (or interest in learning) authoring and design tools such as Articulate Rise/Storyline, Canva, Vyond, Camtasia, or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience supporting or using an LMS (including academic settings).
- Creative problem‑solving skills and an interest in visual communication or storytelling.
- Ability to translate complex or technical information into simple, learner‑friendly language.
- Exposure to project management concepts or tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Jira, Monday).
- Interest in performance improvement, learning analytics, or change management.
