Position Summary

As a Learning Experience Designer on the Digital Support and Education team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing technical training materials to facilitate the implementation, use, administration, and support of our technology. You will collaborate with subject matter experts across ExtraHop to create delightful digital learning experiences optimized for comprehension, application, and retention, with an emphasis on engaging video content and motion graphics

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop tutorial and explainer videos, incorporating multimedia assets such as screen captures, motion graphics, animations, and voiceovers
  • Apply learning theory and instructional design best practices to produce course design documents and video scripts
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with SMEs across ExtraHop to identify knowledge and skill gaps to address through training
  • Conduct independent research on course topics using internal and external resources 
  • Create and deploy courses within the learning management system
  • Execute quality assurance reviews of new and revised courses and assessments 
  • Update aging assets to ensure alignment with available and in-use product versions

Required Qualifications

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience; background in adult education preferred 
  • Proven ability to design instructional content for complex topics, with experience building self-paced learning materials tailored to external audiences and customers
  • Three years of hands-on video development/motion design experience using Adobe After Effects or similar programs
  • Three years of experience with Adobe Creative tools (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition)
  • Three years of experience with authoring tools (Storyline, Captivate, etc.)
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts with minimal assistance 
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Team-focused attitude and experience translating customer needs into deliverables
  • Work cooperatively with others within the organization and other cross-functional stakeholders
  • Work well in fast-paced  environments
  • Has predictable, reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a high-growth tech company
  • Skilljar LMS administration experience
  • Technical certifications: Front-end development, UX, digital marketing, web analytics
  • Graphic, web, or UX/UI design portfolio of professional work available
  • Portfolio showcasing instructional videos,  motion graphics, interactive courseware, and other digital learning content

  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer-centric attitude and a genuine passion for technology and digital user enablement.
  • Strong visual storytelling and multimedia design skills, with the ability to use motion graphics and animation to make complex technical concepts engaging and easy to understand.
  • Professional presentation and delivery skills with enthusiasm. Charisma and passion for technology.  
  • Foundational knowledge of IT environments, troubleshooting, and networking concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn complex technical concepts.

The base salary for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 + bonus + benefits
