About the Role

The Legal Analyst supports the analysis, editing, and maintenance of statutory content across legal publications and databases. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of legislative updates, annotations, and cross-references by applying established legal and editorial standards.

You will work with statutory law, legislative materials, and AI-powered editorial tools to review, validate, and enhance legal content. Legal Analysts combine legal research, analytical thinking, editorial expertise, and emerging technology to deliver high-quality legal content while contributing to the continuous improvement of AI-driven workflows and publishing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and editing statutory content to ensure the accurate implementation of legislative changes.
  • Drafting and maintaining editorial content, including editor's notes, effective date notes, and statutory cross-references.
  • Creating legislative road maps that identify legislative changes and their impact on codified statutes, including amendments, repeals, and delayed effective dates.
  • Reviewing, validating, and refining AI-generated legal content to ensure legal accuracy, completeness, and adherence to editorial standards.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve AI-assisted editorial workflows by flagging issues, recommending enhancements, and supporting continuous process improvements.
  • Performing legal research to verify statutory citations, references, legislative history, and related legal authorities.
  • Conducting proof review and quality control across print and digital legal publications.
  • Collaborating with editorial, commercial, and technology teams to support new product development and content expansion initiatives.
  • Responding to external customer questions and complaints by researching issues and preparing professional customer-facing communications.
  • Supporting updates to court rules, regulatory content, and related legal materials as needed.
  • Promoting excellence through high productivity, accuracy, sound legal judgment, and quality-focused decision-making.
  • Working effectively as part of a collaborative team while supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Have a JD, LLB, or equivalent law degree.
  • Have strong legal research, analytical, and legal writing skills.
  • Have an interest in statutory law, legal publishing, and the application of AI and emerging technologies within legal workflows.
  • Be highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Be able to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new technologies, including AI-enabled platforms.
  • Have strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality legal content.
  • Be willing to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Primary Location Base Pay Range: Home based-Colorado $53,900 - $89,800. Application deadline is 10/30/2026.
