Job Description

Legal Operations Analyst 

The Legal Operations Analyst will join a welcoming, close-knit legal operations team. This is a great opportunity to be involved with legal and business operations for the leading company in the energy efficiency industry. We are dedicated to supporting employees across the organization, streamlining and improving legal processes, and coordinating cross-functionally to advance the company’s broader operational and strategic goals. 

The Legal Operations Analyst will maintain operational processes, databases, and files, perform high-volume data entry with perfect accuracy, provide legal support, and assist with projects. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong initiative, intellectual curiosity, a growth mindset, and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. They have exceptional customer service and communication skills applicable to interactions with employees at all levels of the company.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Maintain contract database with a strong focus on data entry accuracy, including entering, verifying, and auditing field data to ensure complete, consistent, and reliable contract records and document integrity 

  • Own the full lifecycle of legal inquiries in a shared inbox from first touch through final resolution, providing guidance on best practices and utilizing departmental experts to offer contract interpretation, policy guidance, and direction on legal principles 

  • Provide employees with support on the contract management database, internal processes, and foundational legal principles 

  • Translate complex legal concepts into clear, accessible language 

  • Prepare legal documents using established templates and playbooks 

  • Respond to inquiries within established response turnaround times with professionalism and service focus 

  • Build and sustain professional relationships across the organization, inside and outside the legal team 

  • Serve as an advanced user of contract databases and internal file systems, continually deepening expertise through curiosity and proactive learning 

  • Support miscellaneous projects as assigned 

 

Qualifications:  

Required Attributes 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • 2+ years of experience in a legal administrative role 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, excellent verbal and written communication, and superior organization  

  • Knowledge of legal terminology and contract principles and ability to communicate complex information across all levels of the organization 

  • High-level critical thinking and problem solving, ability to prioritize, and developed time management skills 

  • Strong team orientation with a commitment to shared goals and mutual support 

  • Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development 

  • Fluency with common software/apps, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat 

  • Aptitude for and interest in learning new technology, processes, and systems 

  • Capacity for limited domestic travel

Preferred Attributes 

  • Paralegal certificate, contract management certificate, and/or public notary endorsement highly preferred 

  • Experience with any contract management software 

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, DocuSign, and SharePoint 

  • Prior experience in any manner of service job (e.g., barista, bartender, retail sales, etc.) with teaching or training experience preferred 

  • Passion for anything not related to work 

  • A demonstrated interest in environmental, energy, or social issues is a plus 

DOT Requirements

If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

Compensation Range

$22.30 - $33.30

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
